So, what characters do your friends use when they play Sm4sh, everyone?
My friends tend to use the most:
- Mario
- Luigi
- a Koopaling
- DK
- Diddy
- Little Mac
- Link
- Toon Link
- Yoshi
- Ike
- Kirby
- Pikachu
- Charizard
- Lucario
- Shulk
- Dark Pit
- Dr. Mario
Sometimes, they'll whip out Captain Falcon, Mega Man, Sonic, and Pac Man. It seems like they'll regularly use all DLC characters sans Lucas.
BTW, is the next Nintendo Direct in August? Did they do one yesterday? I was away for the 4th of July weekend and had no access to TV Tropes.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!They don't really announce directs that far in advance.
As for the characters my friends typically choose, it's often Captain Falcon, Kirby, Ike, Sheik, Little Mac, Lucario, Fox, Luigi, Diddy Kong. With the occasional Samus and Dedede. My brother always uses Fire Emblem characters or Pit.

Not quite.
The distance you cover with a Perfect Pivot varies by character. Captain Falcon has the best one, Luigi has the second best and Greninja, MK and I think a few others are tied for third.
I think the worst one is Jigglypuff's. It all depends on much ground each character covers with their initial dash.
Interestingly this is the one area Lucina is better than Marth, her PP goes farther than his.

@76691: Really? I thought it would have made the headlines a long time ago.
Why hadn't I heard of this technique up until around Smash 4's release?
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.
Ah, I see.
If the Inklings are announced as playable characters in 4 or in a future installment, I'll give them the "Most Artistic" superlative. And assuming that they don't make it to 4 and that Boxing Ring returns in 5 with titles for its newcomers, their Boxing Ring title will probably be something like "Prepubescent Cephalopod."

He ded.
