Just as a side note, I'm finding it absolutely hilarious to grab poison mushrooms whenever I play as Ryu. Absolutely terrible strategy, I know, but he makes the absolute cutest Calling Your Attacks moments. I don't know why mini-shoryuken is adorable, but it just is.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I unno, he may not be a household name like Mario or Pac-Man, or even as well known as Sonic, but Ryu's still the fighting game icon, and is more or less treated as a second mascot along with Mega Man <That is, Ryu for all fighting games, where as Mega Man still holds as the mascot of all the other series>.
I say he should keep with the others, as they all have a niche genre they're known for <Ryu=fighting games, Pac-Man=arcade games, Mega Man=2D platforming, Mario/Sonic=all around gaming giants>.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit! Is this list referring to gamers or non-gamers? Because in the case of the latter, I'd put Pac-Man above Sonic. A lot of people recognize the yellow sixth-eaten pie as the Yellow Bane of Ghosts, and I feel his icon status encompasses a broader age range than Sonic's. I'd also put Mega Man above Ryu because at least Mega Man is in the same genre as Mario and isn't quite as niche as Ryu.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy. My list would be a bit different:
- Mario
- Pac-Man
- Sonic
- Ryu
- Mega Man
- Snake
Mario's Mario, no doubt about that. Pac-Man is still a much more iconic character than Sonic, however, as while Sonic's obviously still one of the greats, but there's a reason Pac-Man has a whole song to his name and his is constantly the go-to game to emulate on tv shows and such when it's not a Nintendo game. From there, Ryu still has a spark of the "even people who've never played a game could tell you who he is" effect, but clearly not as much as the first 3.
And finally, Mega Man and Snake are at the bottom as, while they still front some of the bigger names in games, they're still very much in the position where they're only particularly big celebrities if you're already fairly deep into gaming culture.

In general, so both gamers and non-gamers.
Third parties only, so no counting Mario. I actually considered putting Pac Man and Sonic in the same level, but Sonic won out because he has a more stable gaming career than Pac Man (Pac Man's known for one game, while Sonic is at least generally known for 3 games amongst the general public and a lot more in the gaming public).
Alrighty then, otherwise my list is the same, but let me also add our 3rd party attendees still in the trophy gallery, as I forgot to include them the first time:
- Pac-Man
- Sonic
- Mega Man
- Snake
- Rayman
- CommanderVideo
Rayman is still one of the mid-high popular series in the gaming sphere, but still isn't bigger than the rest. CommanderVideo, on the other hand, is of course comparatively tiny due to heading an indie series, even one with as much acclaim as Bit.Trip has received.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Let's be real, though: That "one game" is one of the most classic arcade games of all time. The yellow pizza permeates strong in the public consciousness, and while Sonic still gets a lot of games he's nowhere near the rival to Mario that he once was (basically any kind of competition at this point is purely 90's nostalgia).

And even if memories of the Pac were fading, that upcoming Pixels movie prominently features Pac-Man among all the other classic arcade characters like Donkey Kong Donkey Kong. So I'll expect he'll remain in the public (non-gamer) consciousness for a long time.
Got a few new Miiverse posts:
- For Peach: "Let's bake a cake if Peach wins", accompanied by a picture of a cake.
- For Mii Brawler: Two, actually: "Fight For Your Life, Charlie Brown" (Charlie Brown was the Mii used, a pun on the title of his third theatrical movie, "Race For Your Life Charlie Brown"), and for Lucy van Pelt (yeah, I decided to do two Peanuts Miis for this one), a badly drawn pic of her pulling the football away from Mario. (Although Mario wasn't in the match...Fox, DK, and Pit were)
I can't think of any bad Sonic show thusfar. X had a few issues, but was hardly bad. Underground's main issue was that it didn't finish and some of the characters didn't have their lessons stick well. Adventures wasn't about learning lessons all that much bar the Sonic Says segments. SATAM's key issue is how immature Sonic was(he's quite similar in his Underground appearance, which has some similarities to SATAM as well. Including Robotnik's overall design). Boom is his biggest design change, but he's a different kind of jerk at best.
I enjoyed them all. X would be my least favorite, but I blame the dub for removing the great music from the games in their few appearances.
Shadow?

Burnt Mario: Those 4 are grouped together because of their video game icon status. Not really sure if Ryu would fit in there though, since while popular, I'm not sure if he's on the same level of recognition that the other 4 are on.
