I'm pretty sure they changed Dedede's Final Smash because his old one would have caused too much strain on the 3DS.
Bandana Dee could have Flare Beam from Return to Dream Land as his Final Smash. It'd sort of work like Volt Tackle except it'd have a smaller hitbox and be easier to control.

Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.
Pretty much the same for me. I think it all comes down to the playstyle that determines your preference—with sword users, unless they have projectiles (like both Links), I typically prefer melee combat. Roy is better for that because rushing down is highly encouraged with his playstyle.
Depends on the person, really. Between the three of them, I know that I prefer Marth over Lucina and Roy, but I can see why some Marth/Luci players would migrate to the Young Lion, especially disappointed Smash 4 Marth players, who seem to be among the base that's more pleased with Roy now that he's available.
For me though, Roy's characteristics don't really gel all that well with me, particularly because of his close-to-the-hilt sweet spot throws me off, even more than it did back in Melee.

Both are definitely more beginner friendly than Marth, but Marth is tough to master in general. Lucina has the lack of a tipper while Roy has the ph...you get the point.

Roy's hilts work the same way, but pure melee characters have better range than his hilt attacks.
EDIT: They are attacks with a rapier, they are meant to convey elegance and finesse, damaging with surgical precission rather than with brute force.

Roy is still my favorite of the latest package.
That comic didn't even show Lucas.
You know considering how big Nintendo's character gallery is, getting into Smash at all as a fighter, an Assist trophy, or just a regular trophy should be an honor.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI find I really like playing as Roy. I find him to be a really great blend of Ike's power and Marth/Lucina's speed. My play style is definitely not defensive, so being able to rush in and beat down opponents is really satisfying.
Rather stupidly though, when I first downloaded Roy and immediately used him online, I got my ass kicked 0-3 against a Ryu. Pretty much all my deaths were just me falling off the stage, including getting the Smash Ball and just underestimating his ability to get back to the ledge.
I really like Roy, too. I can handle him even better than Marth. (Usually...) Ryu's still my favorite out of the 6/14 Three, though.
"I'm glad I don't wear shoes or else I'd have to always get shoes in two different sizes. ...If you know, you know!"@Keybreak, regarding Lucas: That's 'cause he'd already arrived with Mewtwo.
Ryu is great, one of my favorites and probably my favorite 3rd party-er.
Roy proved me wrong. The guy is so, so much better than his melee incarnation that I can't even fathom they're the same guy. He's just right between Marth/Luci and Ike(one of my favorites) and plays really good.
Lucas MY BOY. He was my main in Brawl although the 3DS' idiotic analog makes him still unreliable for me to use as effectively as I want to. That said I still like him over Ness and he seems pretty close to how he was originally.
Mewtwo? Flat out sucks. I argue that Mewtwo is smash bros' worst interpretation of a character yet. He just feels completely wrong and doesn't do the character any justice at all. That said being Mewtwo alone kind of makes me want to use him, but jeez he needed a complete overhaul.
he clearly just wants to run that fabled Physical Mega Mewtwo Y set

I share in this unpopular opinion.
