Robin's back throw is so good for killing.

Still, Lucas has the best throws by far, 3 of them kill and the remaining one starts combos.

Really? All I've done with him so far is down throw, up smash and PK Fire. And killing myself trying to get the hang of PK Thunder.

His Back Throw kills almost as well as Ness's. His Up Throw is just a little weaker than Mewtwo's and his F-Throw kills a bit but still kills.

I think I found my new top 10 SSB 4 fighters:

  1. Roy
  2. Mewtwo
  3. Fox
  4. Mega Man
  5. Lucina
  6. Shulk
  7. Captain Falcon
  8. Ryu
  9. Sonic
  10. Lucas

Though I can replace Lucas with Pit or Pittoo and you won't lose much

Regarding Nosferatu: For all intents and purposes, the startup on it is a command grab, so learn when to grab and just sprinkle Nosferatu in instead every now and then if you wanna.

I sure said that!

I like to waste Nosferatu in order to get a tome for me to throw at the opponent.

While on the subject of tomes, has anyone tried dealing the final blow to Master Core with one of them?

I did that once. Most satisfying Classic-Clear ever.

The few times I've toyed around with Robin (mostly on For Fun), I have trouble actually getting a dropped tome or sword. Mostly because I have trouble noticing when they're going to wear out.

They blink, it's not hard to tell. And I do like how, if you count how much of an advantage it gives you (in difference of percentage), Nosferatu might be one of the best specials in the game. (Only in that very specific regard, though.)

I know they blink, but the only thing I can usually notice that with is the Levin Sword. Either I swap between books too fast, or I'm too busy watching everyone else on a 3DS screen to notice. I dunno.

Robin's fun.

Funny how thrown tomes are significantly more powerful than thrown swords. The pen('s work) is mightier than the sword indeed.

Well, I was able to beat my friend's Shulk as Mewtwo.

BTW, I have a few Miiverse posts:

Two for Lucas: PK FREEZE! and "GIVE US MOTHER 3"

One for Mega Man: "SUPER FIGHTING ROBOT, MEGA MAN!"

So, if you see these, they're likely mine.

Have players ever taken every single character in the game into 1-on-1 For Glory? I'm currently on a quest to fight 55 battles using all 52 eligible characters (the last three meant for the Mii Fighters will be fought by my mains instead). I'm going in the order of the character selection screen, and I have finished thirteen matches so far, my last fighter being Link.

I'm going to get my win rate neutered, but it'll be a fun ride.

[up] Well, I'm not trying to win with every single character. I'm not even on the same level as ZeRo.

So far I've lost as Peach, Bowser, and Yoshi. I came close with Peach and Yoshi, but I barely got a KO in as Bowser.

So guys, I've found another new king of horde battles- Ryu. Weak Tatsumaki Senpukyaku KOs Fighting Miis in one hit, and it's incredibly safe.

I sure said that!

In horde battles I just spam the dash attack. For most characters it's a OHKO.

Anyway, now that I've finally gotten the full package deal bought-

Lucas is his Brawl self, only more so. I'm glad to have him back, but I dunno how much I'll use him.

Roy is reminding me a lot of my last run in his source game- He's capable of great things, but it's entirely dependent on looking for risky crits- The sharp-at-the-base gimmick means he's got functionally less range than a lot of the fist fighters.

Ryu is not a character I was especially thrilled about, but he's been the most mechanically interesting, surprise-surprise. It's a pity the DLC guys don't have customs yet- I'd love to stick him with Ken's multi-hit Shoryuken.

EDIT: Aww, shit, glitch alert!

I'm not 100% sure this is the reason, but by activating Lucas' Up Smash on Distant Planet, just as it started raining, I managed to freeze most of the game- The fighters, the stage, everything but the music.

I'm sorry to report that I'm part of the problem with Miiverse. I added a thoughtfully posing Donkey Kong with the caption "To expand or not to expand?" So if you see that, that's mine.

That's one thing about playing Lucas or Ness on that stage, spoilers are everywhere for Earthbound and Mother 3.

I'd imagine so for a decade-old game and its even older counterpart.

I just hope that using Marth and Roy doesn't spoil the reveal that Marth is actually Roy's mother.
