But the Ultimate Chimera is a one-hit kill (without very lucky teching), and pops up randomly, and in the dense areas where combat will happen. The other problem with New Pork is the sheer amount of space, making it almost impossible for low-mobility characters (like Ganondorf and Link) to even access half the stage.
Speaking of hazards, I would love that, if in the next game, they offer a stage choice that's in between regular and omega - something that just turns off the major hazards, maybe shrinks the stage a bit, and remove walkaways. But that's maybe hoping for too much.
I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -Wanderlustwarrior![]()

I think their issue with Lylat might be because it's essentially another Battlefield. Though I love Lylat Cruise and Battlefield. And the tilting never screwed me over.
I wonder how they'd react had I chosen either Mushroom Kingdom U or Pac Land. Like none of my friends are good at navigating around Pac Land yet I can navigate it easily. Playing a shitload of 2D platformers from 2012-2014 probably helped.

AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Pac Land isn't terrible, but sometimes there is Depth Deception / Depth Perplexion with some of the edges.
Combined with no grabbable ledges, this can get troublesome.
And fuck the canyon part. Just fuck it. The rest of the stage is passable, but fuck those canyons.
Moved handles because mehHeh heh, Pacland...
When I'm alone, I prefer the more static stages, but when I play with somebody else, I like the ones that move. Nobody else ever knows how to navigate them.
Did you notice that in Orbital Gate, when a missile slams into the station, there are two small spaced out explosions that signal when it's going to blow up.
CPU's never know that, but it helps to be aware of when you're fighting humans.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayIt's not the jumping by itself. It's that every player has become those Goddamn Bats during that part.
Moved handles because mehThat is true.
Either I have never been nabbed at higher damage, or Nabbit's sack is easy to escape.

Moved handles because mehI just really dislike Nabbit for being a somewhat arbitrary yet potential huge hazard on a stage that otherwise has a ton going for it as a general-play arena, y'know? The layouts are cool, and the icicles and waterspouts are telegraphed and not nearly as much of dealbreaker as Nabbit is.
I sure said that!Isn't Ridley the only one that does anyway(give you points)? What I got from the interview is that Sakurai tried to make him playable. Since he's the only noted potential player character that even has things like Smash Attacks and what is effectively a Final Smash(Meta Ridley), it'd make sense why he's added to the KO count. As for why the odd icon instead of one that looks like the Smash 4 Ridley you face, and not something similar to his Brawl self, clearly he didn't get that far to have a matching head icon.
I do agree it was also a fairly decent compromise. At least an attempt was implied to be there, and he gave us a really cool hazard that was almost like a full character. Never mind him becoming your ally, which while that happens with Magicant, Flying Man isn't added to your KO counter nor does much more than an attack or two. Annoying, sure, but not to the same level of work Ridley is. I also liked that Xander fully said Metal Face and our dragon friend's name like major characters. That was a great part of the Direct(the -over- 50 facts one).

Shadow?Huh. The Cutting Room Floor(which is a beta information website) found an icon for Metal Face as well. Meaning that Sakurai at one point likely planned for the same thing with that stage hazard.
I wonder why only Ridley got that pleasure. Maybe because you could temporarily control him? He becomes an assist character for a while, so I guess he's more important to the battle than a general hazard, and even has a player icon. But that doesn't make much sense alone, as so do Assist Trophies/Pokeball Pokemon, and some of each can be KO'd. Yet they don't get that pleasure. It's weird.
Shadow?

I'm pretty sure Nabbit is much easier to break free from than Beetle or Galaga.
Plus he likes to run half across the stage when he catches someone, and in a free for all that often means he gets smacked enough to release his catch.
