Every Diddy I ever faced has done the Hoo-Hah. Or tried some crazy combo so hard, I literally didn't need to press a single button to win.
Call me butter, because I am on a roll! 3ds friend code: 5258-0885-3903 Wii U: Bowser CharizardI loved the Subspace Emissary. The plot, the enemies, the characters...
I was so sad when Smash 4 didn't have a story mode.
Would have been cool seeing the story behind Master Core. Is it a corruption or the Hands' natural essence...and why would it come out now.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI liked the Subspace Emissary, but it had way too many problems, not the least of them the remarkable lack of representation of all the series in stage and enemy forms, instead resorting mostly to Original Generation enemies and very generic areas.
Besides, I think it's fair to say that the development time taken up by the making of the story mode could've been better spent in improving the game itself.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Diddy Kong is surprisingly quite rare on FG, even during his heyday when his hoo-hah dominated. I see him way less than Captain Falcon, and that may be because Diddy became a meme quite recently whereas Falcon has been one for a while now.
Villager isn't a fighter you're supposed to gimp. To finish him or her off, the only options you have are smash attacks and a u-air that kills, if your character has one.
The Subspace Emissary had tons of potential, and I enjoyed it my first time because it played a lot like a Kirby game, and I do like my Kirby games. The premise sounded great on paper—Nintendo heroes teaming up against a greater evil. But like everyone else, I thought it dragged on for too long (especially by the time you reach The Great Maze) and many of the enemies were uninspired and unmemorable. As such, I never saw a reason to play the game a third time (the second time was to unlock all the cutscenes, e.g., saving Zelda instead of Peach).

Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy. It's a custom down special for Villager that makes the sapling trip targets and the tree counter attacks, though the tree itself is far weaker when chopped down. Alongside the Lloid custom that makes it hit multiple times and take hits better than the normal Lloid, the explosive balloon custom, and pocket (that wasn't also custom was it? Seemed normal), the Villager can start camping and become absurdly annoying to dig out of their little cove of deadly explosives and trees.
Good job slowly but surely peeling that little rat out of their hole, Moon. God only knows I'd have torn my hair out in frustration at dealing with that, especially since even with Customs I don't think Link has anything to really push through that kind of wall.

Major props for cutting through their bullshit camping tactics and taking that victory, Full Moon.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyOh dear... so many people concerned about "muh victory" don't think about how annoying they could be making things for everyone else. A show like this at EVO won't do any favors the the community.
Hopefully pro players will cut through anyone using those tactics before they reach the higher standings.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."The way to go against custom Villager is to estabilish a damage or stock lead early on and then give him a taste of his own medicine by just not going after him if he keeps camping, the timer will run out and you'll win if he doesn't approach you properly.
Super tedious and lame but it works.
I just couldn't do that in that match because I killed myself early

Never really faced a Diddy player who did the Hoo Hah. That said, I like having a more balanced game too. Of course some characters just won't be better than some others, but the patches have been a fairly nice step in the right direction.
