@Anom regarding Kamui: I don't know, Kamui's abilities (Terrain control, dragon transformation) seem different enough to get them a different slot from Robin. (Though the transformation would probably be a Final Smash.)
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.
Yes, and for some reason people are going on about how the presence of the costumes somehow denies the Inklings as playable characters...even though there's a Link Mii costume as well.
On a different note, do you guys think they'll rerecord Wolf's voice clips if/when they make him into a DLC fighter? Fox's and Falco's voices were rerecorded, as was Ness's, but Lucas's voice is recycled from Brawl.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy. If they had any visible intention of including Splatoon for character DLC, they would have chosen to advertise it during the period where they clearly intend to garner as much interest in the game as possible; instead, they promised nothing in regards to that and gave the cheapest possible Smash tie-in they could have opted for.
As for the substance-less counterargument, consider how out of all the character costumes that they've put out with these recent waves, Link - a series mainstay since the very first game - is literally the only thing anyone can point to that happens to have a DLC counterpart.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guySo it took me a long time to notice, but air dodging apparently DOESN'T slow your launch anymore like it did in Brawl. You can't even really do it until you've flown as far as you will.
How annoying. Moreso that it took me months to figure that out.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayInklings have a lot of popularity in general right now. But they have no idea if it's just hype or not. Costumes are a good way to still put them in the game to capitalize off of the hype. They could be DLC later on as playable, or even in Smash 5. But they still need to make sure it's worth it. They simply don't know yet if actually characters of them would sell. It's just a matter of waiting. The current costumes seriously don't mean jack. They're just capitalizing off of the hype right now, and the games are so hyped up that they expect them to be popular enough to make selling costumes easy. I don't think they will be character dlc, but it's too hard to say that right now with the games barely released. Never mind they would still need a really good set of abilities that piques Sakurai's interest enough to make a moveset(which is why making them DLC characters really soon would be silly).
Shadow? So, I've discovered today that even if I lose fair and square, I still get extremely salty if I lose to Link and I don't know why. Do any of you have a similar reaction to a certain character beating you?

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.

I always preferred the "Hero Of Time" sound clips myself, but I don't really mind the TP sounds.
