[up] Well, Master Core itself isn't anything that I'd say is unfair. You just have to learn to predict its attacks, especially Master Edges's. Once you get to Master Fortress, if you know how to properly traverse it, it's pretty much a free win at that point.

The closest I've gotten to completing that challenge was when I died at Core once as Mario. It's basically all the RNG stuff in the first five rounds that you really have to be careful of.

Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.

Make even a single mistake to master edges and you're pretty much dead.

Which sucks, because most of its attacks hit most of the screen.

I actually never found the buildup to Master Core to be difficult in the slightest. The massive amount of opponents actually makes it easier for me to sit back and let them beat each other up and then deal the final blows to whoever's left. Core itself, on the other hand, is a nightmare.

You know, after all the talk about how hard Master Edges was supposed to be, I was quite disappointed when it actually turned out the easiest part of the fight for me. Aside from the Fortress.

[up] Same here. Once I figured out how to dodge most of Edge's attacks, that form became a pushover. Heck, at this point, I only really have trouble with the Giant form. (Note: I only have Smash 3DS.)

The main problem about Master Edges is that it can suddenly hit you with a strong slash and if you were in the middle of your attack you would be hit and potentially die because it just comes out so fast.

Master edges is the hardest part of the fight because of That One Attack.

FLASH! And a quarter second reaction time. Hope you weren't attacking!

I give up.

I can't handle this insane, unfair, evil challenge.

I could do it if I just obsessively tried over, and over, and over, AND OVER AGAIN, but I'm tired at trying the same thing endlessly and failing because of one bad coin flip.

[up][up][up] Oh yeah, forgot about that. I usually don't have too much trouble with edges, but That One Attack gets me everytime...at least, almost every time.

Edges is just kinda awful. If I lose one or both stocks in the fight, it's either due to Crazy burying me in one of Master Hand's card platforms or from Edges either trapping me in the multi-slash or finishing me off with the underhand slice.

I sure said that!

I've never even managed to complete Classic on a high-enough difficulty to have the Master Core appear.

I honestly don't know how people can have trouble with the Hands. I just stand near Master Hand and spam up smashes.

Have any of you guys been using Life Steal equipment?

I usually stick to straight stat boosts and one set of heal and whatever other offensive powers I can fit when I'm doing a Smash Run.

Otherwise, I don't bother with equipment. I'm considering experimenting with Customs, but that would have to be against the CPU right now.

I gave my Yoshi amiibo the Life Steal capability, and it's done wonders for him (by that, I mean made him even harder to fight).

I beat 9.0 with two more characters, neither of which got me any new moves: Rosalina and Jigglypuff. Rosalina, had trouble the entire time, the journey to Master Core and Master Core itself. Jigglypuff however, had some difficulty getting to Master Core, but she makes Master Core into a complete joke!

I inexplicably cleared 9.0 Classic for the first time with Mewtwo, and infact on my first try at it with Mewtwo.

I've cleared it with a few other characters by now, too.

My first 9.0 clear was my first try with Shulk.

I haven't really played 9.0 much outside of that, though. I've mostly done 7.0 for that challenge.

[up][up][up]Honestly, I think a chunk of it is that good Greninja players are not especially common yet.

[up][up] Yeah most people assume Greninja is gonna try to grab after a charged shuriken so they spot-dodge or roll to avoid it. So instead I fake them out and use Shadow Sneak, even if they roll towards me it's still going to hit thanks to how Shadow Sneak works.

[up] Even some guy I fought who apparently plays regularly with another Greninja player has said that even though he knows about it he keeps falling for it tongue

To be fair it's a bit of a 50/50 guess. You either shield or dodge and Greninja has an answer for both so you need to know which one he's going for.

And I don't think Greninja is ever going to be a frequently seen character because he's hard to play and there's people who still think he's a worse Sheik.
