I found Mega Man at my Best Buy, and Sonic at my local Game Stop.
Link is difficult for me to find in-stores, I'll have to get him from Amazon like I did with Fox and Samus. Heck, I couldn't find Kirby at Best Buy at all when I got Luigi. DK and Smash!Yoshi are no where to be found.
My amiibo plan after Link is to save up enough to get a unicorn. Price ranges on Amazon from between $30 (Dedede) to about $50 (Meta Knight, Marth and Shulk are near Meta Knight's price). I'm also saving up enough to get some Wave 4 amiibos (Lucina takes top priority of Wave 4).
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!What makes this comment actually funny is that the likely reason he's one of the few decent stock is because they see him as a popular grab.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyUnderestimated demand + Good old bureaucracy at work.
Suplying less than the demand is not a sound business strategy. The only explanation I can think of is that they had a certain supply already planned with whoever creates the amiibos months in advance, and they can't just go ahead an change their contracts even after figuring out they subestimated how much these things woud sell.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."It's annoying, but I know they're working on restocking some stuff. They didn't realize that Mario wouldn't be that popular, so made more of him than some others. Same with other characters like the basic Super Mario line(save Toad), Peach, Zelda, Link, Samus, sometimes Diddy and Donkey Kong, Yoshi... mostly they overmade the big gun. Unfortunately, Fire Emblem suffered heavily and finding anyone of 'em is hard. It's not as big in the US as the other series mentioned, though.
Shadow? To be fair about wave 4, they could just be really conservative about pre-orders so that none get cancelled. I was unable to pre-order a Toad, but when it came out I was easily able to pick one up. Now Ness and the FE duo are still going to sell out instantly, but that's more due to rabid fanbases than underestimating demand.
They did not underestimate demand for Mario, Link, Pikachu, etc. They're the popular ones in the mainstream, so they're always going to get the most figures. The fact that you can find them easily comes down to demand being slightly less than supply, which is how these normally work when there aren't crazy people tearing each other apart trying to get their plastic toys. And they need some amiibos on store shelves at all times, so of course they'll send plenty.
I like amiibos as teammates against level 9s just to feel like part of a superior team.
But you can only play with 7 amiibos at once and can only have 3 on your team for a somewhat balanced match. My team is all unbalanced even with them all at 50.
I like games that give you up to 16 players a match. It'd be cool smashing with 15 amiibos at once on a giant mazelike stage...or, 15 other players, the more obvious use.
Nintendo may never make another Smash or allow 16 players at once, but it'd sure be a cool future.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayNot in Smash. :p
I know you can do it for games like Halo though, but not on the same Xbox.
I don't know how often you can get 8 people to play a video game on one TV, let alone 16, but these days everybody is getting their own screen. So, if they just fixed the online lag...
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayNear as anyone can tell, the issue with online lag has to do with the quality of the participants' internet connections. I've had silky smooth matches with folks from Germany and Japan and terrible lagfests from most of the Americas. In other words, it's not really something that can be fixed by executive action.
I sure said that!My amiibo wants are:
- The original 12 (Have Mario, Samus, Kirby, Fox, and Luigi)
- Bowser (Have)
- Marth
- Falco
- Ganondorf
- Mewtwo
- Meta Knight
- Wario
- Pit
- Diddy Kong (have)
- Charizard
- King Dedede
- Ike
- Lucario
- Sonic (Have)
- Mega Man (have)
- Little Mac
- Palutena
- Dark Pit
- Pac Man
- Shulk
- Lucina
- Bowser Jr
The only other amiibo that I seriously want is Ganondorf. I'm going to train him personally.
Call me butter, because I am on a roll! 3ds friend code: 5258-0885-3903 Wii U: Bowser CharizardMore like I probably won't ever get his amiibo. Even though I REALLY want it.
Also: If you made two or more amiibo fight each other, wouldn't they keep getting infinitely better? Or do I just not understand how they work?
