Welp, I've almost completed all the challenges in the Wii U version. All I have left are the nightmare ones like the "Clear Classic on 9.0 without losing a life," or the really tedious ones like "Clear 10-Man Smash in under 25 seconds with every character."
Call me butter, because I am on a roll! 3ds friend code: 5258-0885-3903 Wii U: Bowser Charizardi currently have no solid main besides Yoshi. Main candidates are Samus, Ike and Jigglypuff. I'm trying to learn Metaknight, Toon Link, Greninja, Sheik.
I like trying to play as everyone though, unless I'm really serious.

No regret shall pass over the threshold!I kind of cringe whenever someone says they have more than one "main". Especially when it gets to be more than just "a few". Like, I wince a bit when people claim two mains, but that's not too bad considering. Three? Eh. More is just excessive; at least one of those has to be infrequent enough to be a secondary. "No solid main" is perfectly fine, too.
For the record, Shulk's my main, Mewtwo's my secondary, and Ganondorf is a close third.

Who you choose to fight with is like choosing a weapon. You can carry a few weapons into a fight but not ALL of them.
...unless you're a video game character, but if you're in Smash then you're just playing with yourself.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay![]()
You can have a total of 20 mains...then it just doesn't matter.
That's still more characters than several fighting games have in their entire roster.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyMy mains are Luigi (my lead, also my favorite character and the one I've used since the 64 days, so I already have most of my training with him), Robin (everything about him and his moveset appeals to me), Ganondorf (DARKNESS! And his moveset is pretty rad from Brawl onwards), and Mii Gunner (I like the long-range stuff and the fact that I can now be myself) in that order (most to least used). After that, I have two secondaries (Dr. Mario and Duck Hunt Duo) and four more (Bowser, Pac-Man, Dark Pit, and Shulk) whom I dabble in to get a clear idea of their playstyle, strengths and weaknesses, and a couple more characters I use because I like them or their movesets, or want to learn their unique quirks in comparison to others, much like the ones I dabble in (but who I'm not actually any good with... at least not to the level I am with the others).
That said, I have a top 10 list of characters I use the least as well. Palutena "tops" that list, with Lucina and Princess Peach not being that far behind.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!![]()
That video does a real knock-up job of not actually addressing the character's problems.
So I ordered five more amiibos, which will bring my collection up to 17.
I hate prime numbers, so I'll still gonna need more.
I really need Ganondorf when he's out, then I'll want Wario and Charizard and...
Well, eventually I'll want all of them, but all the ones out now that I don't have are over twenty dollars and they're so EXPENSIVE.
But I hate being incomplete. Nintendo is evil with how it makes me want more, and yet I still love them...

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI'm not sure I would call that the blindspot when even the bigger names like Cpt. Falcon and ZSS end up dealing with the same exact issue against Kirby/Puff.
A better example would be Sonic casually running through Mewtwo's F-Smash and immediately wrecking his unbalanced tail with his own Smash attack. Or something to that effect.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyI have two mains based on the fact that they have different playstyles for different occasions. I use ZSS as my primary main because she's fast and aggressive. She's easily my best character. I use regular Samus for great zoning. Although ZSS is my better character, I think Samus is more fun because blasting people in the face is crazy fun.
Ness would be my secondary.
Anyway, I think more than one main is justified because of different playstyles and strategies.
Louder than God's revolver and twice as shiny. My official mains are Lucario, the Villager, Pac Man, Yoshi, and Robin. I consider my secondaries to be Charizard, Greninja, Bowser Jr Ludwig and Iggy, Ness, and Duck Hunt. And sometimes I'll use Bowser, Shulk, the Wii Fit Trainer, Mega Man, Mr. Game and Watch, and Little Mac, though I don't play as them enough to consider them mains or secondaries.
My least favorite characters are Palutena (she's just a little too slow for my tastes) and Sheik (I have trouble figuring out how she works).
I haven't gotten Mewtwo as of right now...

"I'm glad I don't wear shoes or else I'd have to always get shoes in two different sizes. ...If you know, you know!"Seriously, just that one change and she gets so much better.
I sure said that!

PIKA!
I use Pikachu a lot more now than I used to. He's so bouncy and got such grabbing attacks...
