... Ahh, you're right.
... Ah, well. Point is, DK feels pretty good to play as. Stronger as Bowser, fast as Mario, even a decent jumper and air fighter. Poor vertical recovery from Spinning Kong, but it covers a huge horizontal range. He's got a fair bit of reach, too, thanks to his tree-trunk arms.

I sure said that!Still, he's got stuff going for him.
He's not, say, Ganondorf, whose good points are raw power and raw power with a side order of raw power and no reach or speed or anything to actually let him use it effectively.
When Bowser is more mobile and more flexible both with attacks and in general than you, you've got problems.
I sure said that!Out of all of the heavies, I think that the most viable is Bowser. He's got decent balance as far as heavies go.
In terms of Ganon, he's got moves like his Side-B and the "Ganon Grope" to add to his arsenal. Plus hard reads are extremely favorable due to his raw power.
DK needs lots of patience to get things done.

DK is a lot better at pushing offensives the rare times he's given the chance, at least. Bowser and Ganondorf are both more like dodge-and-punish types, except Bowser can sneak in some love taps in between whereas Ganondorf can breath and wish the player would pop in Hyrule Warriors so he can get a better showing in.
Honestly, I'm still disappointed in the moves they chose for Ganondorf, and how Falcondorf is still a thing. You have one of the company's oldest characters, with a powerful and diverse moveset, and you make him a derivative of a racing game character who himself is derivative of a generic brawler from before the series started.
I like Captain Falcon, but come on.
I really enjoy Shulk a lot more after having played Xenoblade proper. Though I can't help but feel that his current Monado Buster should've been Monado Enchant, and Monado Smash should've been Monado Buster in turn- Buster being, in the source game, more or less meant as a super Back Slash and a finishing blow, while Enchant gave a small power boost to the whole party and allowed regular weapons to pierce Mechon armor. Can't blame them for inventing Monado Jump, though- Forcing Purge into that slot just wouldn't work, no matter how hard you tried.
I sure said that!Been watching videos of Mortal Kombat, and now I'm imagining Smashers as Kombatants.
Anyone who's played, how does this sound...
- Mario-Liu Kang
- Luigi-Kung Lao
- Peach-Kitana
- Link-Scorpion
- Samus-Kano
- Yoshi-Reptile
- Kirby-Shang Tsun (;p)
- Fox-Sonya Blade XD
- Pikachu-Raiden
- Captain Falcon-Johnny Cage
- Ness-...Ferra.
- Marth-Kenshi
- Bowser-Goro
- Ganondorf-Shao Kahn
- Zelda-Mileena (kind of weird, but against Peach...)
- Ice Climbers-Sub-Zero
- Mewtwo-Ermac
I've only looked at the latest two games so I don't know many, but how's that look?
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay

Messed up my terms there. I actually meant a ledge attack.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."
