So Greninja goes from 4'11 to at least close to 6'7 in Smash

That seems right tongue

Not as weird as Olimar going from needing an army of pikmen to carry a Franklin badge to being able to wear them, but kinda necessary.

Also I never imagined Dreamland was THAT tiny, though not having humans to compare to helps some... I wonder where the info for Kirby and Dedede came from?

Adeleine is a freak in a universe of flying and single-eyed and tire-shaped aliens. She probably fell through a worm-hole and got horribly deformed.

How the hell is Palutena so tiny? Look at her proportions compared to Link! That can't be right.
The one that really bothers me is that, if the Pits stood totally upright, they'd be taller than Palutena, when Palutena was a fair bit taller than them in Uprising and the same height in the NES game in the best ending.

[up]Then you've met Adeleine. Ado is (probably) what she's called when under Dark Matter possession, and Ado showed up in Dreamland 3 as well as The Crystal Shards.

Also, she was in Brawl In The Family a lot, and I thought that was almost like required reading for Smash players for a bit there. I blame Waluigi.

So back to the Robin-being-slow thing: I've never played FE:A so I don't know how accurate I am but Robin strikes me as a bookish person. Besides their original name was Tactician, so I'm thinking that this version didn't fight so much as plan for battles. Thus, they wouldn't need to run as much as the three blue-haired sword-wielders.

The legend has returned.

Robin is whatever the player wants them to be- You set an Asset and a Flaw for their stats on creation. The default +HP -Luck setup has very balanced stats in terms of both what they can gain on level up and what their caps are, especially if they stay in their personal Tactician -> Grandmaster class.

I sure said that!

Am I allowed to advertise this here? I mean, it does involve two Smash-represented Nintendo series' music. :P

Robin can be the fastest (okay, one of the fastest) characters in the game if you so choose. Then again, same goes for every other stat. Assuming a neutral-ish distribution (+HP -Luck?) and in his base class, Robin is a more-than-decently strong, fast and tough Magic Knight with good team support skills as well as some magic/strength synergy with his unique ability, Ignis, which I'm rather salty about not being in Smash.

Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.

Ignis would've been a great Final Smash, though Pair Up is equally perfect.

It would've been nice if the last hit produced cherry petals, though.

And if it had been called Dual Strike instead- Pair Up is the passive bonuses to stats from having two units move together, Dual Strike is when the buddy unit helps the main unit by landing an extra attack.

I personally love to train Robin as a Myrmidon/Swordmaster for a while, at least until Astra is learned. Hooray for them speed boosts.

[up] I thought Pair Up was the general name for the whole mechanic.

Height:

Sonic is supposed to be 3 ft, yet in Smash, he's about as tall as Mario, who is supposed to be 5 ft 1".

[up][up]You don't necessarily need Pair Up to do Dual Strikes or Dual Guards.

[up]The heights were already considered relatively equal in the Olympics spin-offs.

So, is it odd that Pac-Man and Mr. Game & Watch come from the same year, yet one is flat and the other's head/chest is a ball?

Considering Game And Watch was always intended to be flat, while Pac Man has had artwork depicting him with a third dimension for the longest time, not really.

The fact that the Robin trailer showed both Male and Female appearances when Villager's and WFT's trailers didn't isn't an indicator on which one is the "more important", it's just that it was the first character with alts showed after alts were confirmed, as characters who weren't Wario having model-changing alts were still a secret surprise. This can be supported as the first model change costume revealed - Male WFT - was shown on Halloween, a holiday based almost entirely on costumes and dress up. They most likely figured to go ahead and reveal Female Robin's alt since costumes were already known info.

Yes, costumes were already a known info back then. Given how late Robin's introduction came, I'm willing to bet that if he had come sooner, we wouldn't see a hint of F!Robin until we got to know about the genderswap costumes.

There's also the web page; every other character's model-change alts that aren't Mac's or Wario's are considered different characters in their own games <the 8 Villagers, Female and Male WFT, Jr. and the Koopalings, Olimar and Alph, Miis>. However, the 2 Robins in-universe are literally the same person split between 2 genders <well, in theory, anyway>, which is why both have their official renders featured on the Smash Bros. website.

Bowser Jr. is also the face of his particular moveset, which actually makes him a bit more important than the Koopalings themselves. Heck, he even gets his own separate Palutena conversation (and none of his alt. trophies are of the Koopalings) while the one for the rest of his alts is practically the same one but with names (and gender for one) changed. The Miis meanwhile have an official (different) render for each of their classes which all show up on the official site as well to indicate their customizability, and unlike F!Robin, they are together on the Character Select Screen.

Because they cannot SETTLE IT IN SMMMASH.
