The unlockable characters are a case of It Was His Sled in and of themselves—in fact, Sakurai took notice of this and originally intended to have everyone available from the start in the Wii U version.
Leaked characters, on the other hand, are not, so it would be wise not to spoil them to people on this topic.

Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.Despite them already being directly name-dropped in this thread beforehand.
But fair enough.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyI am usually not anal about being spoiled myself.
Though one of my stream friends got upset during Some Call Me Johnny's review of Majora's Mask when he was spoiling the ending...telling me to stop watching the review. I hold the ideology that gameplay, controls, and mechanics. trump story for video games.
Of course, when I asked her what I should play first between Pokemon Gens 1 and 2, she said 1 because of story, not realizing that I mostly play games for gameplay. She then tried to compare it to having someone who has never seen Star Wars watch Empire Strikes Back before the original, and I had to explain to her that the components needed to enjoy video games are much different than other medium.

AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!
I was able to get at least 10 kills in as Meta Knight by spamming Drill Rush. I think he's how I unlocked Duck Hunt, too—they're supposed to be the last character to unlock, but I ended up unlocking them second in Wii U (my first was either Falco or Lucina).
It only took about two match-ups for me to run into one.
Incidentally, it was right there that I saw the giant, gaping blindspot that they gave to Mewtwo's F-Smash.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyI THOUGHT that I was getting hit too much when I used that move.
Mewtwo needs to be fiiiixed. His forward smash, his custom specials, and his Shadow Ball.
What? Why of course his Shadow Ball is broken. He can't be the strongest Pokemon ever created if it doesn't damage on charging.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI'm pretty sure it's because of the size difference from Lucario's damage...if a projectile doesn't go through it's target then the size determines priority.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.
But Ghost-type attacks can still hit Fighting types. And if I remember correctly, Steel types no longer resist Ghost-type moves.

Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.Speaking of which, why doesn't Lucario have a single Steel move in Smash?
Well, when I first played, I kept calling Force Palm Flash Cannon before I checked the custom moves screen.
Hell, why doesn't he have a flurry attack either? Close Combat is one of the fighting type moves in the game to have. And Lucario learns it. And the main series animation implies Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs.
And while were at it, in Pokémon, Lucario is a Glass Cannon. In Smash, he is a weird thing that wants to get beat on before he can even do any real damage!
Moved handles because mehLucario's moveset is kinda weird because you'd expect him to lay beatdowns on people, but instead he has moves that are slow and kinda graceful unlike you'd expect from most fighting types, especially considering Lucario learns Close Combat
PM Lucario is a bit closer to what I think he would fight like... Except they basically made Lucario a Ryu clone with some shades of Goku for no sensible reason, which is super dumb.
"PM Lucario?"
I don't mind Lucario as he is in Smash, but it's just weird that any media outside of the main games treats Lucario as a monotype fighting mon.
Though honestly, why does he lack a flurry attack? It shouldn't be too strong if it wasn't aura based, right? Not all of Lucario's moves use the aura mechanic.
Moved handles because meh

They're still supposed to be surprises. We're doing this out of courtesy for those who purposely don't follow leaks.
