You can't outside of deleting all data. That's what I was complaining about here. It's a Melee/64 option only. I want to know why.
I like facing them, and I'd love to do so in Brawl, but if I play the SSE first... I have to delete it all or play it on another Wii(or Wii U) in order to unlock them another way. That's what I loved about Melee, you could do things over again for fun, but a different way for character unlocks. That said, 64 mostly didn't work this way, but only for Luigi since the only order is "which Target Test do I beat first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth?". You generally were getting Jigglypuff or Falcon first, and Ness was a more specific bit. I don't know what the priority of those 3 are, but obviously you'd get Jigglypuff if you go too slow over Falcon.
Shadow?@Ganondorf: I prefer him without a sword because G-dorf should be one of the strongest characters but he'll never end up actually being one of the strongest characters, and if they give a giant like him a sword and consequently even more range, they'll have to compensate by either making him disappointingly weak or cripplingly slow. (Though you could strike a balance by only making him use the sword for some moves.)
Ultimately it's not just "four moves happen to be similar", but "the four special moves that have a particularly high impact on how the character plays are of the same archetype and effectively constitute an archetype of their own as a set". You can tally up the number of similar moves and rate their degree of similarity if you want to, but ultimately what it comes down to is that Wolf feels like a clone to people because he's a space animal who looks like a space animal and has moves like a space animal and just overall feels like a space animal.
(Personally, I'd call Wolf a pretty distant clone and say that I don't actually mind him because they did put a lot of effort into making him control differently and emphasizing his wolfishness, which gives him a lot more personality than... either of the other two, really. I don't particularly care to denounce him as a terrible clone or anything, but I do think that saying that people only call him a clone because they're forgetting about most of his moves is rather condescending. I think it's just harder to articulate that a character as a whole just feels too similar, so people end up trying to boil it down to something quantifiable like moves, which, as I said, doesn't actually make it any less arbitrary and only describes one part of the character.)
What can I say? Wolf in the end feels more distinctly feral and animalistic in the way he moves and plays than the other two (who feels more or less like how I'd envision a space traveller-slash-anthropomorphic animal hybrid would play like).

All I can think of now is Wolf in a Sailor Fuku.
Why did you all do this to me?

I sure said that!If you registered Mewtwo via Club Nintendo, you can get the e-mails with each code starting on Apr. 15nth. Somebody on another forum went and e-mailed Nintendo about it. There is no automation. They're sending out the codes themselves.
If you did not, he'll be available on the 28th. Lucas is sometime during June. No release date specifically, and the price was not announced. He may be cheaper due to using less resources to make, or they may have another character planned around that time, or even more Mii Fighter costumes. No reason to set his price in stone till they figure out everything(also, he likely will come with another balance patch and maybe even a past stage in each version, like Fourside in the 3DS and New Pork City in the Wii U versions.)

Shadow?Mewtwo comes out Wednesday?
It's nice that I still have the 3DS version with me, but I'm starting to deeply regret not bothering to bring my Wii U back to my dorm.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.I wasn't aware that Nintendo became Valve
Also, DLC characters generally cost the same amount, regardless of the circumstances (unless they're "free for a limited time" like a handful of the recent ones).

I was thinking of getting a Ness amiibo just to name him "P. Ness." I'm surprised that's not a really common name.

Huh. I never knew if Falco was programmed as higher priority or if it's random. I'd love it if that was tested.
That said, I got Ness first via matches, and Falco later by doing Classic. So I cannot say what it was via my own testing since it never came up. And I am not deleting my progress. Not when I can't just delete unlockable characters only, anyway.(seriously, why was this option removed from Brawl and 4? That was fun refighting them...)
