Like any other sword would ever fit Ganon...

Seriously, Twilight Princess was almost a decade ago, and there is a Zelda due next year. I wanna see new designs.
I was surprised when I found out that Wario was an unlockable character in Smash 4. I knew he wasn't totally confirmed by the time the entire roster was leaked, but I sort of assumed that he was always on it when I went to play the 3DS version. I mean, why wouldn't he make a return in 4? I was also surprised that he remained an unlockable in the Wii U version.
At least you can unlock him easily in both versions, though. I played 100-Man Smash and expected to fight Falco afterwards (like in the previous two games), only to discover that one of the first characters revealed in Brawl wasn't available from the start.
How bizarre.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.Well, 100-Man Smash was harder in the Wii U version, and the updates also make the A.I. better. It's still not a super easy mode, nor was Cruel Smash, of course.
I do feel the challenges are far tougher than previous games, but it makes it even more satisfying when you win. Also, somehow Ganondorf is far more useful for a lot of Events than in Brawl or even Melee. And not with customs, as anything that lowers his attack power makes a huge difference. That said, hot damn, does his buffs help severely.
Shadow? That would be the case if the Mii Gunner didn't have quite a bit of range with its A moves.
The opponents are a bit more challenging and versatile, so simple tricks like that aren't as effective as previous games in the long run. I'm still trying to get Palutena through it on the 3DS version, but I always lose somewhere. It probably does not help that the Control Pad always gets slippery on me due to having a very poor grip for my hands.
But keep in mind the issue isn't just beating it once, it's beating it with everyone and under a time limit too for various challenges. It's quite a bit more difficult than Brawl's, although I'd argue Melee's is a little bit harder than Brawl's too. Perhaps it's because all the player characters can survive far easier than in Melee or 4 since the defense options are maximum in that game(which is annoying in competitive play, but often useful in certain modes).
Shadow?I wasn't saying DK's combination didn't work. I'm saying that is was nowhere near as effective as Melee, that's all.
And yeah, I don't think there was any way to get Falco first this time. Ness was the first in Classic, with Falco after, and that's the same order for VS matches. He's no early bird.
Shadow?Ness can too, but you can continue. I think it's random which one takes priority. Smash Wiki does not specify, but I could imagine Ness being more likely to come up first since it's possible somebody was forced to continue. Ness however does have less VS matches, so he probably is intended to be the first unlock overall when it comes to main order, if they actually care about the order, that is.
Shadow? If I remember correctly, Ness is unlocked by just beating Classic once. That's it. You can continue all you want.
Because of that, if you fullfill both Ness and Falco's requirements at the same time, but Falco will take priority since he's further up the line.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!

Yes, it's like Falcon Punch. It's useless, but fans'll get pissed the moment it's taken out of the game.
