Like, I think before Awakening got big, a lot of folks wanted a third FE rep without having played an FE game, or folks wanting a Golden Sun rep or even a third MOTHER rep.
I don't know, it's really hard to say. I mean, part of the reason I'm alright with K.Rool is that people have always been saying that DK needs more representation, Diddy should've already been in Melee, etc, and considering how big their series is, they're probably right? But it is kinda weird because you end up talking about what a series or characters "deserve", which... how do you measure that? Is a series deserving because it's good? Because it's famous? Influential? And then you start getting into micromanagement like "Pokemon has X and Mario has Y so FE needs to have Z because asdaduzgfagjz."
So in essence I have no idea.
Nah, more like "The blue-haired anime fast sword guy, the blue-haired anime slow sword guy and the blue-haired anime sword guy with the charging thing. Can't forget blue hair!
Speaking of FE characters, for what it's worth, based on how the latest FE character is, I expect no more "plain old sword guys" as protagonists for future FE characters. But rather characters who would be as unique as Robin would be.
You actually had a really solid start in the first match, though. You know, until he figured out, which of course he will because he's probably played against thousands of people thousands of times. All you need is some more practice playing against veterans like that and you could probably compete on their level.
"Hoo-hah" refers to Diddy Kong's down throw + up air combo, which is notorious for being a quick, easy-to-perform finishing move. It is one of the contributing factors of Diddy's top-tier status.
Implying I'm going to get to play many veterans =P
And in hindsight it probably wasn't a good idea to be so aggressive against Ganondorf but oh well.
He was already one tough Kong back in the decidedly less throw-friendly Brawl. They'd have to be doing far more work against him than warranted to put him anywhere outside of Top 20.
Work that could just as easily be going into improving other characters in favor of actual balance, might I add.

New life goal: Play as Shulk on Gaur Plain, wait for Metal Face to appear, hope he says "If the brat's here, Dunban can't be far behind!", get the Smash Ball, summon Dunban, win the video game.
...I need life goals that rely less on luck.
