[up] I guess so.

I'm surprised this is a topic that has rarely, if ever, been brought up, but I wonder what Mewtwo's custom moves will be like.

Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.

[up][up][up]I'm talking about the ones that only have the 3DS version and not both.

More hardcore Smash would buy both versions, but those that don't own a Wii U (despite it having games, unlike the PS 4 or Xbone) probably decided not to buy a Wii U for Smash (or Mario Kart...I was already planning on buying a Wii U before the E3 2013 Smash Bros trailer).

The last thing this game needs is Diddy in a crop top

But don't you want two characters with the Hoo-Hah combo?tongue

I've got my fingers crossed that Mewtwo comes in with a balance patch, hopeless as that might be so soon after Sakurai neither confirming nor denying such a thing. If nothing else, Diddy getting knocked down a peg and Lucina being granted some advantage over Marth would be nice to see.

I sure said that!

I thought Lucina's advantage (in theory) was not requiring the tipper to do consistent damage?

In theory, yes, but as a good Marth player can consistently hit with the tip, it makes Lucina objectively inferior at higher levels of play.

Lucina's problem is that she's consistently weaker than Marth's sword attacks. While she doesn't have a sourspot, she doesn't have a sweetspot either, and the sweetspot makes the difference in higher play.

How exactly would you guys buff her, then?

Keybreak (Long Runner)
#71287: Mar 31st 2015 at 3:47:49 PM

Some crunches and a 5k run.

Lucina does feel a little bit heavy compared to Marth, so maybe more power should be put into her blade and less in the point.

I don't use either of them much though because TOO MUCH SWORD, but I'll never turn down a change that'd make me want to use a fighter more.

Sorry, I just did it for the quick deadpan joke.

No, Lucina looks fine. How she plays, well I have my preferences. I like either balanced, direct-hitting fighters, or ones with good projectiles.

With the amount of pies the FE:A characters eat, it is a bit of a wonder they manage to stay in shape.

I admit, not having 4 I can't say for certain, but I'd probably buff Lucina's slashes. Make them do still less damage than Marth's tipper, but more damage than it is doing. Since that is distributed through the whole blade, it counterbalances Marth's tipper being just all around better, since it allows for advantage in closer combat.

But I know nothing of anything, so ignore me. I'm a idiot.

No, you've got it right- Lucina would benefit greatly from just having her power generally boosted.

Maybe give her attacks more range...? Let her jump higher and run faster?

Speedier Lucina would be best Lucina.

Also give her a different final smash while we're at it. I don't know what, though. Maybe (FE:A spoilers) Exalted Falchion transformation FS?

I entirely agree that Lucina should be buffed. More power, I say.

I decided to watch a Mewtwo Melee TAS and the next video was a Project M Turbo Mode TAS Mewtwo Intense Clasic Mode run.

Lucina's main buff over Marth is her smaller stature means smaller hitbox.

In all fairness, I've only read that she has two main nerfs over Marth, from Smash Wiki:

"Lucina's range is slightly shorter than Marth's"

"Shield Breaker does very slightly less damage than Marth's overall."

Most of the other differences are just notices that the page lists.

I'm actually decent as Lucina. She does happen to be one of my mains afterall (alongside Mega Man, Mii Brawler, Fox, Shulk, Sonic, Dark Pit, and Captain Falcon)

Her stature is pretty much the same as Marth's.

Which is sorta amusing since it makes her taller than male Robin, when she was shorter than him in Awakening.

That's a lot of characters that you play. I'd try to limit myself to 4-5 mains if I were you. Don't get me wrong, you can have a small crowd if you want, it's just that having that many characters might stretch your knowledge of them a little thin. Whenever I'm on For Glory, I try to avoid giving one character too much attention, as it might make my skill with my other characters a little stale

As for my characters, it's actually kind of a mixed bag. I don't really have a certain play style in mind, I just play them for variety.

The characters I use basically boil down to Bowser, Ganondorf, and Charizard. Gonna add Mewtwo to my group as soon as I can.
