...You just recently posted a tier list placing him mid-low.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyHe isn't terrible overall, but All-Star is really, really not his best place to be- That mode is basically the space between most of Multi-Man Smash and Cruel Smash, with basically everyone fought being a Glass Cannon.
I sure said that!Meta Knight is currently the one character everybody thought was trash and is now slowly raising to high tier status again as people found out that hey, maybe we should still try playing with him after the nerfs. Kinda like Greninja post 1.0.4
Meta Knight can kill very easily in a regular match. He can very easily drag the opponent upwards with his multiple jumps and up-air and finish them off with a Shuttle Loop. Also his dash attack is completely safe to use since he goes right through the opponent's shield.
Also Dimensional Cape makes Meta Knight impossible to juggle
The only people who think MK is anything below mid-high are people who don't actually know the character.

I wasn't talking about Meta Knight in regular matches, yeah. He's not that bad there.
But All-Star? Horrible. Maybe even the worst, though I haven't given everyone a try yet.
Robin's also pretty bad in All-Star Mode; it's all about spamming Smash Attacks, and that's the one thing Robin cannot do. Even though I main Robin he gave me quite a bit of trouble.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! Most tilt moves aren't kill moves.
Unless you're Falcondorf, in which case you're probably mowing through the mode anyway.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyMeta Knight's tilts don't kill in All-Star.
Everyone whose tilts are good for KO's there- Bowser, Ganondorf, Little Mac -are better off scoring OHKO's with Smash Attacks. Even on Hard Mode they can do that.
All-Star Mode is very much unbalanced.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! It's not just the player characters who are unbalanced. The threat levels of the enemies are way out of proportion.
All-Star Mode makes it so their attacks deal significantly less damage and knockback. Even on Hard Mode you can survive a smash attack at 200% damage. But for whatever goddamn reason, enemy projectiles are unaffected and hit at full force.
This makes enemies with powerful KO projectiles, such as Samus and King Dedede, into dangerous threats, enemies with projectile-smash attacks, such as Villager, Olimar, and Mega Man, into nightmares if they get a good AI assignment, and close-range brawlers like Ike and DK who would normally be dangerous at high percentage into laughingstocks.
Every time I lose All-Star Mode, it's never to something like a punch from DK or a dropkick from Bowser. It's from Samus sniping me with a charge shot, Olimar hitting me with just about any of his attacks, Villager dropping a bowling ball on my foot, or in one particularly infuriating instance Pac-Man throwing a key at me while I was hitstunned by Mario. They simply cannot win any other way.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I cannot count how many times I lost All-Star because of Mega Man.
Call me butter, because I am on a roll! 3ds friend code: 5258-0885-3903 Wii U: Bowser CharizardI thought it was because he wanted revenge for no longer being final boss
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyYeah, all of Olimar's smash attacks and some of his aerials count as projectiles for that, so he's hitting at full power most of the time.
As of late he's been my most dangerous adversary in All-Star Mode. The fact that he's in the same round as Villager, another big danger, doesn't help.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Stage 3 can be pretty bad, especially if you get a Pikachu who spams Thunder Jolt or a Sheik who spams those bomb thingies.
The beginning of Stage 4 is also a pain; you immediately get peppered with blaster fire from Falco and Fox, and while you're stunlocked in Falco's blasts Meta Knight gets close and adds his sword to the mix. And then King Dedede comes in next and begins smacking Gordos everywhere, which will kill you if you took too much damage prior.
Thankfully, Kirby and Sonic are incredibly easy to deal with.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Just had a rough time clearing it as Samus. Don't know why, since she's pretty decent. I guess I just got a lot of bad luck with the AI's randomly assigned personalities (Another thing to hate about this mode).
Only have a few more left before I can be rid of this horrible mode.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The worse part is that 'beat All-Star with everyone on Hard' doesn't specify True All-Star, meaning you could unlock everyone but Duck-Hunt Duo (since they need to beat True-All-Star Mode anyways), and go through it with all of them, and only have to beat True All-Star on Hard once to get it (twice, actually, since another challenge has it for a different character).

Psst. Meta Knight is still high tier.
