I've got to make sure to never have Female!Robin fight Lucina now that I've married her off to Chrom...

Why not? Nothing wrong with a bit of a sparring match between mother and daughter.

I like using Robin Female against Lucina precisely because the former's win quote helps counter how much of an ass the latter is in this game.

[up]Is that supposed to be a quip at how Lucina is considered a worse version of Marth in this game?

No.

Though that certainly helps put her and the Robins' quotes into even better perspective. :V

To be fair, Marth and Ike are also both asses in Smash.

I mean, in some ways female Robin is, too. With the exception of male Robin, all the Fire Emblem characters are kinda jerks.

I guess they feel a little superior, seeing as they're some of the few fighters to have fought in "actual" war and suffered great loss. They're like that marine guy who punched an MMA fighter in that one video.

Clearly they need to walk a mile in the shoes of some of the other characters. Ness's and Samus's especially.

[up] Fox has essentially ended three conflicts all by himself. Mario doesn't have that feat since Luigi usually is with him. Samus and Link might be the only other Nintendo protagonists to hold that title of ending multiple conflicts by yourself, and even then Metroid and Zelda aren't as Action Packed as Star Fox (meaning that Zelda and Metroid are slower paced compared to Star Fox).

Well, Link typically hasn't ended conflicts entirely by himself; he almost always has help of some sort.

Seems I was wrong; guy was a boxer, not a Marine.

It's like that scene where Indiana Jones shoots that swordsman, but in real life.

EDIT: Ah, additional correction: seems this was actually choreographed and is from a movie. Ah well.

[up][up][up] So does Ganondorf.

Nah, didn't single Links handle multiple(albeit comparatively smaller) conflicts? I don't have time to archive binge, nor do I have time to play every single game in the Zelda series, but I'm pretty sure both Oo T Link and WW Link handled two.

OOT Link and WW Link both also had a ton of outside assistance.

Well, WW Link did in one instance. I haven't played Phantom Hourglass (or...Spirit Tracks? I can never remember which), so I dunno.

[up][up] Fair enough. But then again, Bowser has conquered entire galaxies while Ganodorf has only conquered Hyrule. At least, I think he's only conquered Hyrule.

ST Link is also descended from WW Link, and has assistance too.

Basically, Link is usually assisted in 3 various ways; A travel partner(sometimes Zelda, but also Marin, Ruto in OOT, although that's a very iffy case here, and his two WW sage companions), a vehicle(Epona, King of Red Lions, Linebeck's boat), or a guide(Ciela, Zelda in ALTTP specifically, Sheik in OOT). The last one is less important, but general helpful NPC's. Fairies in many games that heal you, random item givers whether because they're nice, a trade sequence, or shops. The last one generally does not directly help you and could help anyone that comes near, Fairies aside depending which game(OOT makes them only able to help Link or anyone who knows Zelda's Lullaby. Basically, there's not much reason to believe they couldn't heal someone else with a good heart, or anyone in general who attempted to be healed by them. It's not really explained).

Not counting the NPC's, that would leave the games Link does stuff on his own without a guide, travel partner, or living vehicle in the first two Zeldas, and that may be it. But those games were Nintendo Hard and trying to challenge players to explore properly. I can't say for the CD-i games or remake via the BS titles(and the other BS titles that aren't a remake). I know the CD-i games give you adirect story at the start as a basic guide at most, but eh. MM comes close. It doesn't guide you along heavily by any means(I still have to get the remake, so that could've changed), although the journal helps immensely.

That was Capoiera versus boxing, not MMA versus a Marine. Hugely different thing.

Can I nominate Meta Knight as absolute suckiest character for All-Star Mode? It took me almost six or so tries to clear it on Hard as him, not counting ones I reset because I took over 60 damage during the first match.

Seriously, he's light and he has no good KO moves- the exact two qualities you do not want in All-Star Mode.

Even Villager was easier once I realized how good the axe is.
