~Burnt Mario : I do, yes. We'll just have to see if it goes right, alrhough I have my doubts.
I can't register the 3DS version of Smash right now because I didn't bring its case with me from college. I needed the Internet connection at home to register my Wii U, but I still need both Smash games to get the Mewtwo code.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy. Is that a real game? Whatever the case, the music for Shrek's Swamp is actually kinda nice considering the Stylistic Suck the rest of the game has.
Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pier![]()
I believe that was lifted from something else, actually. Same with Sanic Hill Zone.
That Bowser is way too good to have a name like that.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.I'm thinking about making an edition of SSB for Wii U that adds the following characters:
- Wolf
- Krystal
- Dixie Kong
- Viridi
- Roy
- Captain Rainbow
- King K Rool
- Snake
- Scorpion
- Rayman
- Wonder Red
- Travis Touchdown
- Sora
And takes out the following:
- Robin (you'll see why I would take Robin out)
- possibly Peach if space constraints dictate she need to be removed
- Mii fighters for same reason as Peach
I'd replace Robin with:
- Morgan (they'd be a clone of Robin, but I'm mainly doing this so we could get a brother-sister relationship as Male!Morgan could be Lucina's little brother)
And this would by default have Mewtwo in it. And the characters I just listed would likely be the unlockables, while the main roster for 3DS/Wii U would be the default roster (sans Robin and possibly Peach and Mii Fighters).

C'mon, be honest, you'd remove Peach because you don't like her.
Anyway I don't get why you'd have to remove Robin to add Morgan. Having clones is no big deal, IMO. Also Morgan and Lucina could potentially have a brother/sister relationship or a mother/daughter relationship, which is not relevant to the first two sentences in this paragraph but I thought it was funny.
(Also if you add Travis Touchdown you should add Bayonetta. Just sayin'.)

"We're home, Chewie."
What I'm more likely to do is just create my own fanmade Smash game trying to use the engine, graphics, stages, modes, characters, and music of the Wii U game. And most of the voices (Fox and Falco would get their Brawl voices back).

If I'd add Bayonetta I'd have to take Wonder Red out because I'm going for a "One character per company" rule. Maybe I could replace Peach with Bayonetta but I'd prefer to stick to that rule. Or maybe I can do Bayonetta and Shovel Knight in place of Wonder Red and Peach.
That's quite ambitious. Do you already have past experience? Because that would be a TON OF WORK. Especially for one person.
I think Powerpuffbats means to make a whole new game, not a mod.

I'm the guy who knows how to make games but doesn't. 3DS FC: 2878-9776-7579To be brutally honest, you should calm those over-ambituous thoughts down. Not only is the whole technical aspect of it even more difficult than it was on Wii, which was already a massive pain in the ass, but even if people managed to find a way to work around it, I'm not seeing Nintendo being as lenient with mods after the whole PM situation.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."
I'm really sorry to break it to you, but that just won't be enough. Small and relatively simple 2D Smash clones such as Crusade and Flash 2 still take years of work with large teams. :/ Creating a robust and polished 3D Smash game with the same mechanics as 4 would be TONS of work.

Pretty much. Even then, assuming it could even be done at some point, personal bias when it comes taking out/swapping characters are a big no-no any way you look at it.
It would be more of a thing I'd make for me if I were to ever get around to making it. If I ever did, I would probably need help from other Smash fans to make it.
It would be adding a lot of characters, but hopefully only Miis and Robin (Hey, this is a character I actually like. I'd only cut them out because my weird Nintendo Universe canon has Female!Robin and Chrom perform a Heroic Sacrifice to save their children. Male!Robin still exists as a love interest for Lucina, using his Japanese name of "Reflet") would be cut.
Generally a thing with a lot of my personal ideas for things I'd make is that I'd make them for my enjoyment.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!
That's what I was getting at. Making such a large and complicated game isn't something you can just do on a whim. :/ It would be especially hard to get people on board with helping you if you make unpopular decisions regarding the roster, as well.

Yeah, I'd only make those decisions if I'm absolutely sure a character needs to be axed for space constraints. The Mii fighters would likely be my first choice.
I guess a part of me wants to appease a bit of my Nintendo Shared Universe headcanon by not having Robin be present (or at least female Robin despite my preference to use her in SSB), but if I'm to even get people to help me I might have to make that sacrifice and just Hand Wave in my head that Lucina and Morgan used Time Travel.
I think part of my problem is that I'm thinking of this with having a story in my mind.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!
I understand and respect that, but I just thought it was worth noting that perhaps making such a game would be more difficult than you imagined. By leagues, even. Of course, I wouldn't stop you, I just thought I'd bring that to attention. My sig is true for a reason. :P

Soundtrack came in the mail today. Hell yeah.
