But Moon, how will you ever learn how to overcome those opponents when you deal with them in a real tournament if you avoid them??
Kidding, I can't blame you. If I had anyone I really hated playing against I'd probably do that too, but I haven't played enough to have any particular characters that annoy me. I get beaten pretty equally.
All the more reason to try and learn Sonic, then. Thanks for the encouragement, guys!
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Honestly, Sonic's really easy to beat if you play defensively. Let him make the first move.
Call me butter, because I am on a roll! 3ds friend code: 5258-0885-3903 Wii U: Bowser CharizardUgh, it's spring break for me and I made the smart decision not to bring the 3DS version back home so I can obtain the Mewtwo code.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy. It is best to beat a Sonic player by being on the defense. I would not have won the match I've mentioned when I was Dedede once if I didn't get the idea to block Sonic's dash attack and grab him and throw him off the screen.
Also, am I the only one who hates Event Matches in almost all the games they've been in?
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!As noted before, enjoyed Melee's, found most of Brawl's to be uninspired at best, and don't plan on touching 4's at any point (especially since it's rather visibly taking more cues from the latter than the former).
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyI know this is a really stupid method, but I managed to beat Kirby's Crazy Appetite on Hard just by pausing multiple times to get a sense of where I should go to get all the food. It may not fit your playstyle, but that's how I did it, and I ended up succeeding after a few attempts.
You can also copy Dedede's ability and Inhale the food, which I didn't realize you can do until after I completed the event.

Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.Wii U is alright if you just want to clear the Events, but if you're gunning for the rewards, prepare to enter hell. There are also Events that will be hard no matter what you do like Kirby's Crazy Appetite. In a way, it's kind of like a cross between Melee and Brawl.
The final All-Star Battle Event also require you to beat it on Hard if you want to break one of the Challenges (well, I say final since it's the only Event that requires this).
That said, it's still not as balls frustrating as Melee's latter Events can be and the All-Star Events (and the newcomers' versions of them) are as fun as ever.
(That said, the best Event will always be the final Co-Op Event.)
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!I didn't mind Melee's events. Brawl's felt sorta dull. Wii U's are a bit better than Brawl's in that regard, but they're often extremely frustrating- at least, any that runs on a time limit or has a time limit-related objective.
It's not so much that they're challenging, just that you're at the mercy of the RNG. I swear it sometimes seems like the computer deliberately stalls you out of time by just running away from you or focusing exclusively on dodging your attacks.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I loved that event, no matter how many times I lost! It's all about beating people to food!
I guess I finally did something right with my posts?

So today I found out that I still really, really hate fighting Sonic as much as I did in Brawl.
