I consider that a very good sign. It shows that character interactions are complex enough for their relative power to not be entirely clear-cut. That's the essence of a healthy metagame.
Then again, for about a year, Melee players were almost certain that Sheik was brokenly strong, so this thing might happen a lot more than I think.

And I've never done anything with club Nintendo, briefly considered trying to sign up and cash in all my games (assuming I can find the codes for them), but it doesn't really seem worth it right now.

It's kind of funny just how much the assumed tier placement of characters keeps changing. Bowser seemed overpowered for a while, then everyone thought Palutena and Ganondorf were the definite lowest of the low, Zamus and Rosaluma were projected to be the very top, a lot of people were talking about how Wario was buffed... It's funny.
