I like equipment but also recognize it's much better suited for casual play than for serious loadouts.
The custom specials don't seem to be overtly broken outside of glitchy issues that crop up from time to time, and they only affect four of a given fighter's moves, so including them in a tournament setup is much more feasible.
I sure said that! And at least there are only the set specials. Equipment pieces fall into a range of strengths that makes it hard for two people to even get the same setup.
Makes me want to customize my customizations and tweak the numbers my Power Gloves have. ;p
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI feel your thing about equipment, Heck I tried bringing the idea to Smashboards. But equipment can make fo silly, SILLY things, and in the hands of a good player, can make the a god.Like the Captain falcon one in the video last page, he could literally drop the opponent 1 stock and jump like a flea the rest of the match and win. Not cool.
The Rocket-Tag Gameplay of pitting characters with three attack equipment pieces at once is pretty amusing, though, if nothing else.

I sure said that!As someone who immediately used equipment to create a troll Mii Fighter, I agree with this!
I don't think I've ever really bothered with the Custom Moves, lol.
Same with Stickers, honestly. I didn't even know that I could use them for Subspace when I actually played SSE.
Has anyone here played the Smash Bros clones? I've played Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion, but not PSASBR

AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Unlocking custom moves would simply be easier if there were no repeats.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.I own both Punchtime Explosions thanks to my brother, and they are eh. They're not too horrible. I do like all the references it has, don't like the lack of voice acting and the characters' original actors.
Even with these awkward wings, dyed with images that seem to stay. I'm sure we can fly, on my love! 3DS Friend Code: 2809-9138-8756PSAS is pretty nice as well. The only thing particularly damning about it is that there's almost nothing substantial to do outside of multiplayer.
Which certainly isn't stopping 4
I only ever use equipment on my Amiibos
I enjoyed 3DS Punch Time Explosion, and the bit I've played of the PS 3 version. I haven't played PSASBR.

I think the only equipment with effects is the lower level stuff, the stuff with high stat boosts tend not to have added effects.
(Which is fine by me, I think the extra effects are kinda unfair, especially when I turn customs on and a cpu I'm fighting gets something like invulnerability for the first few seconds of battle. Bleh.)
I can't see any reason not to use equipment besides outright objection to its existence.
Given the chance, having a character who's Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger is just too good for me to pass up. With the right combination, you can get a real beast of a fighter.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayEVO is using customs? Great, now I have to invest tons of hours at the mercy of luck so that I can unlock them. Assuming T Os pick up on this trend as well, of course.
I'm the guy who knows how to make games but doesn't. 3DS FC: 2878-9776-7579

Which is better. ;p
Eh, I've already stated my opposition to rules and restrictions, so instead I'll state my lamentation that Maxwell from Scribblenauts was never considered a fighter.

All that picture needs is Maxwell standing on the edge with his notebook and tapping his pencil against his chin.
