Looking at that picture, I just noticed that Ness's gift has a picture of Paula in it. Nice detail.

I love the Mii Fighters' expressions. So full of love...

But so few females in comparison, how sexist. And they're only looking at each other, how heteronormative. Yadda yadda.

This picture makes me want chocolate!

I wonder if the artist is going to do a follow-up for White Day.

... Bu yeah, Gunner Sophia's expression really makes that image for me.

So we started talking about Bayonetta in Smash over in the Bayonetta 2 thread and I made this:

Bayonetta

  • Combo: Her Punch-Kick-Punch combo from the game. Wicked Weave included. Perhaps altered to allow a flurry of punches instead of a giant one.
  • U Tilt: Bayonetta leans backwards and does a high kick.
  • F Tilt: Bayonetta does a sweeping kick in front of her.
  • D Tilt: Crouching kick similar in speed to Marth's D Tilt.
  • U Smash: Summons Madam Butterfly's leg for a sweeping kick above her.
  • F Smash: Summons Madam Butterfly's arm for right hook in front of her.
  • D Smash: Summons Madam Butterfly's leg for a roundhouse kick.
  • N Air: Simple punch.
  • U Air: Possibly Afterburner Kick without the rising affect. Otherwise, a sweep kick above her.
  • F Air: Drop kick.
  • B Air: Backhand.
  • D Air: The stomp Bayonetta does if she falls long enough in game. Can spike if sweetspotted but it can hit just about anything touching her.
  • N Spec: Breakdance: Bayonetta spins rapidly while firing all of her guns. If you hold the button, you can extend the attack. You can move a bit while firing. It slows fall speed. If you hold it for too long, Bayonetta will do a pose for a second or two.
  • U Spec: Crow Within: Bayonetta transforms into a crow to fly around. Lasts a couple of seconds. Can be canceled out of.
  • F Spec: Beast Within: Bayonetta transforms into a Panther to charge around the battlefield and slam into enemies. Lasts for a second. Can be canceled out of.
  • D Spec: Bat Within: If used right after an attack hits, Bayonetta transforms into bats to avoid damage and activates Witch Time. Time is slowed for everyone but Bayonetta for a second or two and she is free to do any attack.
  • Final Smash: Madam Butterfly: Bayonetta places a spell circle in front of her. Anyone caught in the spell circle will be transported to another realm (Inferno, perhaps) where Bayonetta has Madam Butterfly punch them into the sun (I know it was another demon that did this).

You can also make Umbran Climax her Final Smash but transformation FSes are rather meh, I think.

On Valentine Smash Picture:

The Miis made me laugh, too. (I can't seem to find the Mii Swordfighter or the Male WFT. Are they even in the picture?) Also, Fem!Robin's face (reacting to Lucina's oddly shaped chocolates?) absolutely killed me. I sense a new profile picture for someone.

By the way, did anyone see poor Luigi?

On Bayonetta:

That's pretty good! I gotta wonder though. If, theoretically, Bayonetta wound up in Smash, could they work her in while keeping things SFW?

Yeah, i'm not sure what those chocolate heads are supposed to be, the expression on Robin is priceless, though.

That's a good Bayo moveset, Zelenal. Another thought is that you could incorporate some of the different weapon sets in as well.

[up][up][up] Easily. The sexy poses are no problem and they can just not have her strip when she does Wicked Weaves. Alternatively, they could just have her strip into a leotard or something like Zamus' alternate outfit.

[up] Maybe but her alternate weapons usually don't change her combo that much and I think it'd make her too complicated.

EDIT: As a note, Breakdance would work pretty much exactly like Link's Spin Attack when on the ground. If you hold it out to the finish, anyone you've caught will be hit with a decent launch so there's a risk-reward thing going on.

I can possibly work the feature of being able to fire her guns into her standard combo (in Bayonetta, if you have guns equipped, you can hold that button to fire them for a bit at any point in your combo) but even if they had a short range, only did 1% damage each, and had the knockback of the Fan; they may be too powerful.

Also, at least one of her taunts has to be her dancing and you can hold that taunt button to have her dance indefinitely. It would serve absolutely no purpose.

Probably to make the image slightly less imbalanced and/or because the artist wanted to draw Pikachu Popstar.

After having played around with my new Mario Amiibo a bit:

I am liking the concept of the Amiibo just fine. I like how it automatically selects the character when you put it on the base. I find it interesting that it levels up the more it fights (mine's already at like, level 22).

I am thinking about getting at least one more Amiibo by Monday (most likely Fox). I think Amiibos might also make great looking figurines to add to my already nerdy as hell bedroom.

For Valentine's Day, I did a Team Battle with Palutena and Lucina on one team and Peach and Samus on the other.

A battle of my two favorite yuri Smash ships.

@V-Day Picture: I don't know why, but I really like all the scattered pikmin around the area of Olimar and Alph.

@Bayonetta: That's pretty well thought out. I personally kind of want Bayonetta to get in a Smash Bros game someday, but I won't complain too much if she's not in.

Oh, and also, my dad pre-ordered a Shulk amiibo for me!grin

The other thing I'm thinking about getting around Monday is a Bayonetta game... (I'm giving myself more time to play Pikmin 2 before I decide to buy Pikmin 3 come Easter)

Is the first game on the Wii U?

Yes. Bayo 1 comes with 2.

She'd be nice if Nintendo bought the series, which is very unlikely. But unless that happens she doesn't have a chance. Sonic covers Sega perfectly well, and if they want a Platinum character they'd probably go with Wonder Red.

Yes. Bayonetta 2 comes with the original, and if you buy it digitally, you get a discount for the original basically makes both games cost $60 still.

I still think that Bayonetta would be dangerous for Smash with all of her moves that strip off her hairsuit and her fetish for killing angels (poor Pit). Not that I'm against her entry though.

It'd be so amusingly recursive if she got them in Smash.

[up][up]The clothing issue can be easily fixed. And to be fair, the angels she maims on a regular basis fall on the Cthulhu side of the equation. I get the feeling Pit and Pittoo would be like Luka with wings for her.

[up]Samus, Link, and Fox I could see. The Mario princesses... not so much. Have you seen how short that dress is?

I doubt the Pits would get on Bayonetta's radar- they aren't the Angels she's supposed to kill, so she doesn't need to kill them. Besides, they're pretty nice, for angels.

Palutena's another story, considering sometimes she's a good guy only by comparison.

Dark Pit was right when he said Palutena isn't exempt from being accused of causing a lot of trouble for mortals. She's a Troll, only has one soldier even approaching competent, and in general is kind of a jerk.

i'd like to see a fight betwee Pit and Bayonetta. They both are pretty high on the power scale. Though I'd say Bayonetta takes it for having an extreme advantage in melee combat, and every tool necessary to close the gap.

[up][up] Hm... is the weakness of the Centurions strictly Palutena's fault? Accordig to Pit, they don't bother to toughen up because they know they'll be resurrected. And Pit himself has the same protections, but still improves himself.
