Just played a little Smash 64 and I forgot so much it's like I never played it. No smash holding, no air dodging, no walking with crates...and everything is so sharp.
But the Ray Gun is so much more vicious...

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI was visiting the Olimar boards to ask for help figuring out how to deal with him with Greninja and while I had Olimar in mind I made a new headcanon:
Olimar hates Greninja because he keeps eating his Pikmin without him noticing.
I mean, really, Greninja is as close as we'll get to Wollywogs and other such enemies in Pikmin. I can totally imagine Greninja preying on them
Fan-art of Greninja doing a belly flop on Pikmin is something I really want to see, I'd even do it myself if I knew how to draw Greninja.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I'm not too much of a fan of the competitive community, but I sneaked around the Smash subrredit. Oh boy, that Project M drama is strong.
I'm all honesty, maybe it would've been better for Nintendo to hit that mod with a C&D before it grew as much as it did now, thus becoming a massive legal clusterfuck.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Okay, that wasn't the correct wording. I'm just saying, that at this point it's become a bit of problem.
One of the main issues with that mod in particular is that it's not only modifying a Nintendo property, which of course can be defended as can any other mod, but it's playing with a game that is in and of itself quite a copyright hurdle, with characters across a lot of properties.
Pokémon is technically a Nintendo series, yet getting the rights to use the characters can be quite problematic; and let's not even get started on the third parties.
When a mod like that becomes bigger and has greater exposure, it becomes harder and harder for the creator to not take an official standing in it. And like I said, with a game like Smash you're not only arguing a point about Nintendo not defending its property (which, again, can be argued as just a harmless mod which Nitendo could let slide), but you're also dealing with the properties of the other parties involved. The bigger the mix, the more massive the legal hurdles.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Honestly, I'm reading a few threads in the subreddit and I can't tell what's actually happening due to all the people jumping to conclusions and/or not reading various information (tweets, etc) comprehensively. It also hasn't helped that the subreddit has been really volatile since APEX started.
So can someone here explain what's going on? I'm mighty confused at the moment. From what I've gathered, someone that's prolific in the PM community made a certain tweet regarding the lack of PM's presence at APEX (including no one in that community so much as mentioning it), and the whole drama thing sprouted form there...
EDIT:Made a mistake with the second link, this is the one I meant.

As I said, when a good dozens of thousands of people (?) are using and following said mod, and being vocal about it for several years, it becomes harder and harder to chalk it up to "your copy, your rules" anymore. This becomes worse when it's not only your own properties on the line, but also those of others.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Had a funny run yesterday where my best performance in For Glory came when i hit the random button and got Link, though i posted more victories than in Sunday's For Fun run, ironically.
I also got the Metroid challenge in Smash Tour
. Totally dominated that run as well; it's much like Mario Party, you can get screwed over by luck, but once you get all the rules down, you can hedge against that luck as much as you can.
I feel this is kind of a shameless question, but I think I'd rather ask it sooner than later.
Does anyone here happen to have only the 3DS version of Smash, and not have it registered to Club Nintendo, nor planning to?
I have the Wii U version registered, so if I register the 3DS one, they'll give us the Mewtwo DLC codes for free.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."You gotta register to Club Nintendo, and then use the CN codes both games came with to register them. They'll send you the codes via mail, and for the soundtrack you gotta give your adress (if you are not a sneaky weasel that's claiming to live in the US because he wanted free Wind Waker :| )
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."

Plus Greninja can actually cancel a taunt with Shadow Sneak, which is pretty hard to see coming at the ledge, especially with the camera angles.
I just know that if something actually comes out of this I'm going to be amazed.
