So, will Galaxy's cartoonish visuals age better compared to, say, Grand Theft Auto IV's gritty-ish visuals?
Back to Smash, have any of you guys unlocked something on accident? I have two occassions:
- When Brawl was new, I did the Classic Mode challenge to get Captain Falcon. I complete it, so I test out Captain Falcon in Class Mode. I ended up unlocking Sonic after completing Classic Mode.
- Just now, playing some 64 on VC, I got the Item Switch ability.
I was really surprised how easy it was to unlock Ness in Brawl. I got him before I even touched Subspace Emissary. It's a good thing the devs realized how positively absurd the unlock requirements in Melee were (it says something when I played 200 AI matches because that was the easiest way to get Pichu), but I fear that SSB 4 went too far in the other direction.

When I had to reunlock all characters for Brawl, I decided to do the "stamina flowers" trick to get all fighters quickly. (I had to re-get everything in Brawl, sans SSE stuff, because my original Wii stopped reading discs a few years back. My parents decided to get a new Wii as opposed to shipping it in to Nintendo to fix it)
Wanna know how I unlocked Mewtwo in Melee? Left my Wii on overnight one night in 2009 (I got Melee after Brawl, but after playing 64 at my second cousin's house earlier that April in 2008)

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Today i paid 5 bucks to be in a Smash bros tournament in my local EB Games. I lost. (i'm 16 and is good at SSB) What was the prize? A 100 dollar gift voucher.
What did I get? NOTHING. To add insult to injury, I have anxiety problems. I GET PISSED OFF VEEEERY QUICKLY. Plus, I cannot think positive. :( AND, to top it all off, I lost the 1st round to a bunch of tough 21 year olds who were better than me.
Moral of the story: Don't waste money on competitions, if you know you're gonna lose, don't fucking go. You'll get nothing anyway.
PS: I cannot get money (and i waste my pocket money from chores and stuff) from a job because I can only work at EB Games. No one wants hiring. WHAT THE HELL?! Can't I get a job to buy my own Pokemon Platinum?! I hate this world.
PPS: I am sorry for raging on the forums. But this is all 100% true and I think differently to real 'humane' people. I guess no-one really cares for the underdogs... (;_____;)

@Mighty Matilda: Well, in Brawl, Ness is designed to be the first character for you to unlock. I'm not sure of the exact order, but I believe it goes something like: Ness, Marth,...Jigglypuff, Toon Link, and Wolf.
Personally, I don't really care if Smash 4's requirements for unlocking characters are easier. I just want to complete the roster as quickly as possible so I can feel a simple sense of completion afterwards. Besides, the Wii U version is the first game that required you to do something in Cruel Smash (not counting numbers of matches you have to have fought in Smash), so it all balances out (well, sort of).
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.Which Veterans from Melee and Brawl do you guys think will be DLC?
I think Roy, Lucas, and Wolf are the most likely veterans to become DLC.
I've already asked which new characters y'all would like to see as DLC, so I won't repeat the question (though to refresh your memory of whom I'd like to see: Krystal, Viridi, Captain Rainbow, Dixie Kong, and King K. Rool)
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!I see Roy as unlikely: He's from a minor FE game, having a second clone of Marth, as DLC nontheless, would be quite an overkill, and he can't rock those sunglasses like Roy
◊.
I only really said Roy as third most likely because Ice Climbers can't be in the game period, Squirtle and Ivysaur are unlikely, and Snake's not only a character from a third party company (meaning they'd have to get Konami's permission to use him), but he's also from an M-rated franchise (which would not be acceptable for a game with an "E10+" rating, unlike the T-rated Brawl)

Brawl got T for entirely different reasons other than some additional explosions.
Also, the Ice Climbers can be in a game just fine. Sakurai said so himself.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guy
Precisely. The thing that matters when it comes to rating is not what the character's source material is rated, but how they show that character in the game. Otherwise we wouldn't have E rated games with the likes of Kratos in them.
Freaking Bayonetta DLC, man!

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."
Snake would also clash heavily with the style of the game itself. Making him look cartoony could result in a Uncanny Valley look, ala Brawl Toon Link.
That said, I would like to see Snake as DLC, but chances of that happening are slim.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!

Twilight Princess's visual style may have aged a little less well than Wind Waker's, but my point was that Nintendo very rarely goes for actual realism anyway- Just about everything in their long history has been stylized in one way or another, be it in a brighter, cartoony way or a way more subdued, like unusual color work on half-realistically formed characters or so on.

I sure said that!
