The first thing I did in Smash Wii U was try out 8-Player Smash and my aMariibo. Unlocked a few characters, then I tried out all the other modes.
Sometimes I'll try hard to beat a challenge (now I'm down to the "Gotta work at them!" challenges), but most of the time I just Smash with my amiibos now.
It's funny. Used to be that Classic Mode came first, but now Smash is the "first mode" to play.
...I've been waiting for months to say that.

Well I was looking forward to 8-player Smash. By now it feels like the standard method of Smashing for me and 4-player Smash just seems so...sparse.
I like fighting with my amiibos instead of against them, but I can only fight with one in 4-player Smash if I want to make it somewhat fair.
I really regret that there aren't more stages available for eight players. It seems like such lost potential...
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayFirst thing I did with Wii U was transfer my 3DS Miis over to the Wii U, then I played 8 Player Smash, then played classic to unlock Falco. I decided to unlock everyone else by doing special Smash: Stamina and Flower with CPU stamina at lowest possible setting. (I used this tactic when I had to re-unlock everything in Brawl because my first Wii stopped reading discs a few years back and we had to get a second one) I got the stages by meeting their unlock requirements.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!I transferred all of my custom fighters from 3DS to Wii U and I made at least one for each character. Going through Classic Mode on Wii U made it a whole lot easier when I already had some highly equipped customs to just rush through.
In time though I made more customs on Wii U so I'd actually be able to customize them without having to go back to 3DS. Now I hardly play on 3DS at all, and I still have two challenges to do on it...
But they're easy ones—get all the headwear and play 50 hours in Smash. I'm just gonna wait until I go on an extended trip and play through Smashes then.
Wii U has too much more stuff for me to ignore...

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI'm posting this rather late, but I went to that Streetpass event Saturday.
And I actually won most of the matches, they even gave me a belt!
Not that we really played all that seriously, it literally degraded down to 'one person picks character, everyone does' and there were a LOT of cheap K Os going on. Nintendog even appeared and covered the screen 3 MATCHES IN A ROW! It got insane, still super fun though! I even won at Fox only!
The only thing that made me sad was nobody reacting to my Xenoblade Chronicles references.
Apparently, it wasn't Reyn time.

Even with these awkward wings, dyed with images that seem to stay. I'm sure we can fly, on my love! 3DS Friend Code: 2809-9138-8756I can't be the only one who's bothered by the fact that selecting Games & More on the main menu in the Wii U version automatically places the cursor on Vault of all things. Why couldn't they have had it on Solo like in the 3DS version?
I went home from college because of the blizzard and was too lazy to take my Wii U with me. And now I can't play Smash for a day. #FirstWorldProblems
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy. You want to talk about first world problems? Every time I turn on the game I have to go into the rules and turn on Score Display when I want to play a timed match so I can see who's winning.
When I play with one of my custom characters with a color other than their default, it resets after the match so I have to change it for the next one.
And whenever I'm playing my amiibos and I use more than 8, I have to leave the character select screen, update each amiibo one by one, then go back in and log the amiibos I want.
It's torture.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayThe Smash series in general is rather inconsistent with the settings it wants to remember and the settings it'll just reset. I can jump in just fine without items, but the game won't remember that I usually set up the game in For Glory style (2 stock, 5 minutes). On top of that, the Wii U version doesn't remember the costume you last picked for whatever reason, and the intensity in Classic Mode is always set to 2.0 even though the window in which fighting Master Core is mandatory is much larger than it is on the 3DS (intensities 5.1 and above force you to fight him).
I dunno. It's weird.

Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.Custom characters colors are default to whatever color you had them on when making them, it just does that.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. It's interesting how in Japan Mega Man is still called "Blue Metal Hero," while Europe noticed this slip-up and called him "The Blue Bomber" like he should.
A lot of people say Nintendo should buy Mega Man from Capcom. I say Nintendo of Europe should buy Mega Man from Capcom.
2 of Sonic's are specifically quotes from him, nice.
