Well, he is mostly based a tree frog. I assume he's just naturally limber, even if he wasn't styled after ninja.

But yeah, I think crouching is underutilized as a defensive maneuver.

EDIT: [down]Oh I see.

Frogs have very short spines. They don't have much in the way of a torso, so it is all legs with flexible joints.

Ever since Greninja showed up I've been realizing that frogs are pretty awesome creatures tongue

Greninja is kinda odd in that he's actually pretty tall, but his standing stance makes him smaller than a good portion of the other characters and the same applies to his crouch. This actually makes his hurtbox a bit wonky sometimes according to other people, wonky to his advantage.

Kirby has a pretty spectacular crouch, considering that he becomes the un-hitbox

You can still get damaged, but a lot of horizontal attacks from tall characters can be dodged easily by crouching with Kirby and Jigglypuff.

The only way to still hit with those attacks is to tilt down.

Wii Fit Trainer gets a lot out of her crouch, though- She goes from having a very high profile to a very low one.

I sure said that!

A good writer puts in a lot of details in there story. But a great one gets a story from a single detail.

Wow.

Windy Hill's background looks nice.

And what's this? You're playing Pally now? Though I was expecting Greninja, Samus, or Falco to be the fighter you were using.

I was playing with a new friend today and while he played mostly Pikachu, I played with Greninja, Mario, Peach, Palutena and Robin as well.

That was the one match I lost tongue

I see. I think this is the first I've heard of you playing Robin.

I'm curious, are there character types you don't like to play as? I notice you seem to never play the heavy characters much.

Me and heavy characters don't get along very well. I work best when I have speed on my side.

... Ignore the fact that I play Robin sometimes who is the second slowest character in the game when it comes to running either that or he's tied with Jigglypuff for worst.

Okay, the Metroid 'Challenge' is complete bullflop.

I mean it, I still haven't got it and it's taken me more time than surviving a minute with Luigi. And that's because it's an RNG 'Challenge' with incredibly slim chances of success.

First, you have to hope the game decides to spawn a Metroid. Then you have to rush into the thing, which while it seems to favour paths with fighters, has taken different turns before, and it's gotta get you specifically. You have to hope you have a good dice roll and/or movement boosting item

Then it will teleport to another part of the stage, where you have to hope none of the other fighters are near enough to take them before you. Then you gotta get more luck with the movement to reach it.

Even then, EVEN THEN, you can fail because one of the AI fighters decides to switch your places around! Or someone placed a trap on the only way you can reach it! Or someone rushes into you with the Dillon or Star trophy, maybe even picking it up themselves! OR someone uses the bus trophy, and someone else got a significantly higher dice roll, like 6 doubled!

Even the Cruel Smash Challenges aren't outright BS like this - those you can at least see how the AI behaves and exploit the heck out of them, gives you an actual chance to succeed that isn't "You gotta TKO with Game & Watch's Judge to pass!"

...Try it a few times to see if you're THAT unbelievably lucky, and then Hammer it. Just don't bother with this RNG-riddled mess of a 'Challenge'.
