He can conquer the universe with his side smash.

He'd much rather use axes, red buttons, and POW Blocks, pretty much asking Mario to defeat him.
To be fair, though, Mario doesn't really do anything too spectacular in his fights against Bowser, with the exception of Super Mario 64, in which he grabs Bowser's tail, picks him up, spins him around, and makes him hit a bomb (which is still a case of Boss-Arena Idiocy).

Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.Aren't most Dark types just misunderstood, though? It seems like Pokemon identified as Dark types aren't really evil as much as they are dirty.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.Well, Dedede isn't evil, either; he's just an asshole.
Bowser Jr. is more of a comical villain than anything else.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy. The only game I can think of where Wario is firmly established as the villain is his debut game, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. He seemed like a pretty legitimate threat, too, to the point where it's implied that he served as a Man Behind the Man to Tatanga from the first game. And I do believe that was before Wario became the main source of the Mario franchise's Toilet Humor and his Trademark Favorite Food was established as garlic.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy. So we know that Sonic, Mega Man, and Bowser won't approve of Viridi's methods. Can we assume that the Star Fox team wouldn't like a goddess killing humans?
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!It's probably the reason or I guess they just went for pragmatism = bad.
And hey look, Greninja's Up-Smash can kill someone by sending them downwards.
Either that or Greninja is more popular than Dedede and Junior? Or I'd like to think so, not that it matters because I've having fun with him.
By the way, how are your conquest contributions calculated anyway? streak of rounds played? Won? KO-streak? End-round point total? I haven't participated enough to figure it out.

Looks more like he just forgot that he used his second jump already.
Since we're on the topic of Greninja...
What order would y'all rank the playable in the series?
I'd go with:
- 1. Lucario
- 2. Mewtwo
- 3. Squirtle
- 4. Charizard
- 5. Pikachu
- 6. Ivysaur
- 7. Jigglypuff
- 8. Greninja (I suck as him, lol)
- 9. Pichu (why was he in Melee in the first place? IMO, they should've put Pit or Dedede in Melee)
My guesses for Gren being on the villains team this Conquest:
- Dark type is called "Evil" type in Japan, something I'm kind of surprised they haven't changed by now.
- A bit more reaching but the Diancie movie had a Greninja in a villainous role.

...That second point sounds pretty spot-on, considering how SSB usually treats the series.
Just started today.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyI was not aware of Greninja's role in the new movie, but if so then that makes some sense.
Greninja will probably stay good/neutral in my head-canon. But the entire species isn't going to share the same presonality/outlook/morals, plus there's the trainers to consider...
And thanks! That's just for the one round that alerts you to the match being part of Conquest, right? before the participation timer resets that is.

Bowser probably wouldn't appreciate someone bombing land he could potentially conquer.
