No. there's a lot of BS on Smash Wii U.
Classic: 8-Player Smash. Fuck That. Also intruders. Not only does it make a match harder than it has any right to be since the intruder has a boon in addition to having to fight the rest, but they may also replace a character with something you wanted. (I'll take this match since if I beat that guy, I get a chance for custom stu-INTRUDER! FUCK!)
Multi-Man Smash in general: The character-specific challenges, particularly Luigi's. Also, there's more Miis coming down here than on 3DS so chances of getting ganged upon is higher.
Events: All the events I've mentioned before are pretty bullshit.
All-Star Mode: Actually, the mode itself isn't that bullshit, and is pretty equal to the 3DS version, besides the stages and the order of fighters. My main beef comes from the challenges associated with this one.
Special Orders: Master Orders tickets on Very Hard or above can get pretty ridiculous. Meanwhile, Crazy Orders, while the closest thing we have to a proper Classic Mode, is an endurance run and the challenge for it in regards to Mario is PAIN!
Challenges: Clear Classic on 9.0 without losing a life? Take down 8 enemies in Cruel Smash (as Lucina)? Survive for 1 minute using Luigi? Actually, a lot of the character-specific ones become pretty bullshit as you move upwards. There's also challenges that require you to finish a series of tasks that have some bullshit ones mixed into it which make the challenge bullshit by proxy.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!I finally got my Zelda, Luigi and Diddy Kong amiibos. I went for Amazon's free shipping so it took them five days to get here. ;p But that's fine, the upper limit was 8 days.
Now I can train em up with my Peach amiibo who's still in her box, maybe with my friend who's coming over tonight.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayAnd I finished Luigi's 1 minute survival in Cruel Smash challenge. Took a lot of standing on the edge and beating Miis away. But I could still get it.
Just about all of the challenges are possible, they just take a lot of time and often a lot of patience, especially for the hard ones you end up doing again and again.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayNone of the events you mentioned are that bad, except possibly Kirby's which has a lot of RNG praying. I managed to clear the Meta Knight one in just one try, the Falco one is pretty simple and the final events are very straight forward. The Wrecking Bros one also probably only took about three tries to complete, I did all of them on hard too. Didn't get to do many of the co-op ones though.
The Very Hard challenges in Master Orders get silly, yeah, but I never felt they were really impossible unless the game made everyone go really fast.
The 8 player Smashs in Classic Mode are a nuisance, yeah, but you really only have to do 2 at most during it. Intruders are a bit stupid though, I agree.
Really, outside of anything that has something to do with Cruel Smash, I never felt any of the challenges were really unfair, they just take time.
I never minded 8-player Smashes in Classic mode, even when playing everybody at 7.0. Playing 9.0's though I tend to do it easy.
And I beat all the reward conditions for Event Mode, though not all on hard. Sometimes it takes luck, sometimes it takes patience, but with enough will you can get all of them.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay![]()
They're bullshit. That's my opinion and I stand by it.
Also, another thing in regards to Wii U Classic Mode: Because most fights are free-for-alls (barring some fights that become Team Battles, but even there they mostly apply) you sometimes spend time battling a fighter you know you get a reward from (like the Rival) ony to have a CPU beat him/her out before you do and suddently all of your work is wasted. AAARRRGH!

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Well I got a few tens of thousands of gold playing everybody's 7.0 in Classic, and I get more playing everyone's All-Star on Hard.
You just gotta be willing to do some work to get the good stuff. Fighters come easy, but custom moves and trophies are the real rewards.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay
Oh believe me when I say that I'm willing to put in the work.
I just can't seem to get the things I want.
Oh, and on another thing about Wii U Classic: Custom rewards are linked to the stage you play on (with occasional drops that favor your character). Normally, I wouldn't have a problem with this, but because 5 to 8-Player Smash limits the stage selection, it also makes Classic favor certain series (and thus custom rewards) over others. (And while Crazy Orders show you what series the custom reward comes from, you only get one thing for each fight you clear and that is random as well. Ugh...)
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!
So, you basically hate the single player stuff in Smash Wii U? What about the multiplayer...the stuff that matters most with Smash Bros.
EDIT: I like how All Star is handled with both versions: in 3DS, you fight the characters in order of debut (you start fighting against Pac-Man, Game and Watch, Mario, DK, Luigi, and Little Mac), and reverse order in Wii U (you start that mode fighting Lucina, Robin, Dark Pit, Wii Fit Trainer, Greninja, Lucario, and Rosalina and end with the aforementioned)

AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Friend is over now and he just told me about this: a guy is buying Rosalina amiibos so other people can't get them.
Classic and All-Star don't feel all that difficult to me. Classic in particular is rather easy even on 9.0, but clearing All-Star on Hard with everyone will take some time I think...
Some of the Challenges are pretty absurd, yeah, but I've cleared most of them. If anything in the game feels like bullshit to me, it's Event Mode. Not only are some of them nigh-impossible (No Mere Sparring Match, Kirby's Crazy Appetite, and that Lucario one, for example), some of the reward conditions are really annoying. Especially the ones that are "clear in under ___ seconds" because not only is does it often come down to luck, but sometimes it feels as if the AI deliberately stalls you out of it.

I prefer the stages of the 3DS version more than the stages of the Wii U version. Special Battles and Coin Matches are novelty stuff and 8-Player Smash, while alright, is confusing as heck in terms of where the hell I am (and limited in stage selection as I've noted before). As such, while I'd say that Wii U Smash offers an objectively better multiplayer experience in terms of more stuff, it's not by a huge advantage, and the 3DS version, while stripped down, keeps all the essentials so it's not a big deal for me and I can also take it anywhere with me.

So he's doing it because he hates the character. Sure. One of the picture captions sums it up:
I'm pretty sure this is a "joke" and he's just buying them up so he can sell them at inflated prices later, making a big deal about it just for the attention.
Incidentally, I'm not planning to start my amiibo collection until I get Rosalina (or Wii Fit Trainer), so I don't know what this means for me.

I like the stages in the Wii U version soooo much more than the 3DS. On the 3DS pretty much the only stage I really like are Prism Tower and Unova Pokémon League. On the Wii U I have Wuhu Island, Mario Circuit, Kalos Pokémon League, Town and City, Skyloft, Orbital Gate Assault, Pyrosphere, Norfair, Mushroom Kingdom U and Jungle Hijinx as stages that I play on very frequently. That's a lot more.
Kalos Pokémon League is the best though, it's just so crazy.
I for one just wish that this inane fad would just stay isolated with the NFCs and not immediately start infecting every other recent thing Nintendo offers.

Oh yeah I forgot Gamer.
I think my problem with the 3DS's stages is that 70% of them are stages with walk-offs. I think those tend to make the stage needlessly big and makes fighting more annoying. I have nothing against stages with momentary walk-off portions though.

I have cleared all Cruel Smash challenges except the Luigi one. I now hate all challenges.
