AUGH. I'm having difficulty unlocking the Robotic Operating Buddy. I keep getting to match 9 in Crazy Orders before suffering a KO.

And I'm starting to run out of passes.

[up][up]Nope...its all random, as long as you both get connected, that's all it needs.

I think so.

It's called Global Smash Power.

Is this a Jo Jo reference?

[up][up][up]Just screw around in regular versus matches. It shouldn't take that long.

[up][up]GSP doesn't apply to online modes.

@Hashil: People have guessed that there's some sort of matchmaking system at work, but I don't think anyone really knows if that's true, much less if it actually works right.

There isn't one...the only time its been used in a Nintendo game is in Mario Strikers Charged.

[up] @demon, that's actually how I got about everyone that isn't Falco in the Wii U version...

Which version do you guys like more: 3DS or Wii U?

I like the Wii U one more because:

  • General preference of Nintendo's home consoles over handhelds, and since Wii U version focuses more on consoles for stage and music representation
  • 8 Player Smash
  • HD graphics
  • more music tracks
  • better and more stages
  • Minor thing, but I like the trailers that the Wii U version lets me see.

[up][up]Oh good, someone else with Silver Greninja. I thought I was the only one (I've only seen Black and Pink Greninja on 3DS so far).

And thanks for reminding me how scary you can be, Moon. tongue I'm not sure how I'd react to Hydro Pump screwing with my recovery like that...

[up]Said it before, but the 3DS version. Portability wins out, even if the Wii U version is prettier and has more music.

[up] Actually Greyninja is probably the most popular skin, either it or the shiny color. Or the default tongue

And the good thing about Greninja is that people always think everytime I throw them upwards I'm going to jump towards them with an up-aerial, so I just bait the airdodge and do this. tongue

Does the power of all Counter moves depend on the countered attack?

Not Greninja's, it has fixed knockback.

Said fixed knockback is still better than most counters will reach anyway tongue

@powerpuffbats: 3DS version. I'll take less bullshit stuff and a more personalized experience (and portability) and Smash Run over the huge content the Wii U version has any day.

I prefer Smash 3DS's game modes but Wii U has a better stage selection.

I sure said that!

Like what bullshit stuff?

3DS Challenges are less bullshit than Wii U challenges.

As is 3DS Classic Mode compared to it's Wii U brother. And most other modes on 3DS actually. Smash Run was only kinda bullshit at first, but then I began to get powers and custom stuff (which is what Smash Run assumes you'll be playing with) and it suddently went from reasonably good-but-flawed mode to joy incarnate where I can have Ganondorf in a "Climb!" or "Race to the Finish!" style Final Battle and just outdo them 99.9% of the time.

And then there's Events which include a couple bullshit ones like the Kirby one and the Meta Knight one. And the Wrecking Bros. one. And the Falco one (as well as it's Co-Op brother). And the final events (The Final Battle and The FINAL, Final Battle) on Hard (for the rewards... and completing the challenge). And some of the events in regards to the reward requirements. As well as Final Battle Team-Up on the Co-Op Event side. And Secret Smash on the Co-Op Event side. And the event with Wario and Mr. Game & Watch on the Co-Op Event side... *goes into fetal position*

Also, I actually found it easier to grind custom moves on the 3DS version as opposed to the Wii U version.

The Wii U version isn't necessarily BS, it's just hard. Though I'll admit some of the challenges are a bit ridiculous like the one of defeating 8 enemies in Cruel Smash with Lucina.

Classic, Events and All-Star all felt very tame overall and Special Orders is a lot of fun.

It's not BS, just hard. I mean I did manage to beat it in not more than about two hours trying when I actively tried to clear it. And it wasn't 2 hours of straight playing either tongue
