The comment that triggered that reaction was just some guy saying that Greninja "isn't all that good", not really saying that he was bad, but it's easy enough to think of it the wrong way. Greninja is overall considered to be "bottom of the top" among people.

Also don't worry ultimatepheer, I don't aim to embarrass anyone when I play this game tongue

[up][up]I think it depends on the how adamant you are about not playing with items. The sentence that the other person quoted from you made it sound like that you'd just get really angry or something if you were forced to deal with items other than Smash Balls. If it's not that bad, I think saying that it's a Berserk Button is a bit of an overstatement.

Also, Smash 4 allows players in With Friends matches to set up the next match how they want should they lose (I think), so it's not like anyone fighting you will absolutely never be able to include items in matches against you, unless one (or both, or all) of you go out of your way to get them to play to your specifications. The game's designed to be played multiple ways after all.

As for the rest of your post, that sounds a bit more personal and I don't feel comfortable commenting on it.

[up][up][up]Unless they're saying that items on/items off is the only way to play, I feel like people should just deal with them being on or off. If you don't want to do that, that's fine, then you should find people who will play the way you want.

As for the rest of your post, that sounds a bit more personal and I don't feel comfortable commenting on it.

Also this.

I just learn to play both ways, honestly. Tons of people do. You can prefer one over the other but that doesn't mean you have to hate the other.

Oh by the way, since it was mentioned before, I really would love to go to Apex since a lot of Greninja mains from Smashboards are going there too and they're even setting up a meeting. Unfortunately I lack both the funds and a sense of direction tongue

I have no idea what/where Apex is... @_@

But! I'd totally help you get to a tourney In the hypothetical scenario where:

  • There is a tournament within a few hours of Washington state(or I can figure out how to navigate somewhere via GPS).
  • Somehow there's enough money to pay for all the travel.
  • There is enough room in my residence for a guest to BREATHE for longer than a half-hour (Or hotel accommodations are made).
  • My parent is cool with that (Potentially decent chance).
  • There was a way to make arrangements for everything that couldn't be misread as something creepy.

Alas, chances of that happening (in the near future at least) are nearly non-existent. The spirit is willing, but the wallet is weak.

one wallet may be weak, but together they are strong!

You know, if you were willing to swear to win in the name of T Vtropes, I'd be willing to chip in some money to get you to the tourney and get you a decent hotel room.

I'm only kinda kidding, if only because I too don't know where it is, how expensive an actual room for it would be for you, and, no offense, how likely you are to win. And because I have little money.

I almost accomplished that with Little Mac. Master Fortress is a total nightmare for him though. Stupid wall jumps.

I actually managed to beat Master Core the first time I got to him, the only things that prevented me from getting to him were the freaking Miis and AI shenanigans.

Amiibo upd8: I just ordered a Japanese import of Little Mac(it's already been imported FYI). That leaves the holy trinity of rareness: wii fit trainer, villager, and marth

[up]Why are b-tier Nintendo character amiibos hard to get?

Also, I have not beaten Master Core on either version.

Presumably because nobody expects the stocks to last, and fans of those characters want to grab them while they're available.

So, fun fact about Zoroark: it won't ever attack you if you're in the air when it's out, it only attacks you if you're on the ground. Plus, when you land you can still jump without Zoroark teleporting in your face if you're lucky, so it's pretty easy to stall him out.

Also for some reason the first hit of Greninja's Up-Smash knocks the opponent downward.

[up][up]And then sell them back for at least 3x their original price because Nintendo knows how to business.

There's something self-propelling about playing Smash matches...after I'm done, I want to tweak the next one to be more fun.

Hm, well I want to use my Amazon gift card money I never spend on more stuff, by now probably more amiibos. I still need/want Zelda, but I'm wondering about Diddy Kong, Captain Falcon, Ness, Pit...

I really wish they'd get on making more games with them, so I know which ones I should want. ;p

Captain Falcon and Pit will require some luck on Amazon. I managed to get Captain Falcon there, but had to get Pit from TRU.

Oh man, getting a Greninja amiibo will be so much harder now that Nintendo isn't going to be selling things in Brazil anymore.

For the record, I'm pretty sure APEX takes place in New Jersey. Probably costs a pretty penny to get there from Brazil.

Baaaah, I want more amiibos but I don't want to spend money, even though all I'm doing now is letting them fight without me.

I feel guilty getting so many of these, and not even all of them. There's just something I like about having so many with me...

I'm pretty sure I still want to order Zelda, Luigi and Diddy Kong.

Pit and Captain Falcon are so expensive, they need new games so they'll be cheaper.

It's times like these that make me question what's important in life, what my values are, and how long I still have to play video games before I have to devote my life to working and being boring. tongue
