"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyFox's SSB 4 voice:
It's not grating on my ears (I am used to hearing Mike West as Fox thanks to 64 and 3D), but it does sound out of place for a Fox that's supposed to be in his late-20s (since the characters in Star Fox do age).
Though Jim Walker (Brawl and Assault Fox VA) is my favorite. He was also the first voice I heard for Fox (Assault was my first Star Fox game)
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!I have to agree that Fox's voice in SSB4 is really strange. It doesn't keep me from playing the character, but it doesn't fit him at all, especially when compared to his Brawl one.
I hope he has a different voice actor in Star Fox Wii U.

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."![]()
Yeah, I think his voice here still somewhat fits given the silly mood of the Smash series. In Star Fox Wii U, though, he should have a more serious sounding voice.
On another note, I'm not sure why Falco's new voice gets at least half as much hate. I do prefer the Brooklyn accent he had in Brawl, but he doesn't really sound terrible here.

Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy. It's so slow, though. Every time I ever, ever used it, it got shielded and I was the one who got punished by what is the "punishing" move. Heck, I actually got countered by a Shulk using that counter!
Counterception.
Counterstrike.
hee
But eh, Hydro and Shurikan make up for that move. And Shadow Sneak, once you get the hang of it.

Aim

upwards
for
maximum effect
And it's almost impossible to get punished for using Substitute unless you aimed it downwards.
Also I think this is the third time I've posted the Sheik gif in this thread

I had the best moment with Lucina.
My opponent was juggling me but I countered mid air and won the game.

Yes it does.
Substitute doesn't even take that long to come out, most of the characters can only shield after hitting it with a jab and little else, with the only exception I can think of being Sheik and Sonic since their moves have very little cooldown and even then I still managed to get one on Sheik.
Against heavyweights like King Dedede Substitute is a god-send because their moves tend to be very laggy and so you're almost guaranteed to hit with Substitute if it's triggered, and you can get very early kills because the latest Dedede can go to before being KO'd by it is 109% as long as Greninja hasn't taken much damage and that's the latest anyone can go without being killed by it.

The letters after the name of the characters is to show whether they can shield (S) Substitute with their basic attack or not, or hit Greninja out of Substitute with it (H), though some need to delay the second hit in order to do so (DH), and the (O) is just to inform whether they'd get sent to the opposite direction Greninja's facing when he uses Substitute downwards. It's not really important but I just figured I'd explain it
