Peach is hard to use? She's my main and most of the tricks to her seem pretty simple, at least for the level of play me and my friends are at, which admittedly might not be that high on the competition scale...Levitating close to the ground, using turnips for zoning purposes, her Side B is almost godly in certain circumstances, as is her Smash Side A.

Her umbrella just might be one of my favorite applications, as it seems like it takes some people a moment to realize how much knockback you get by just touch it while descending...

Pretty much how I feel, hence my short response. I imagine that competitive Peach is much harder to master though. I've mained Peach since she debuted, so maybe her playstyle just comes easily to me by this point.

Yeah, one tends to get used to a character. I do nothing but space with projectiles as Robin (and follow up with Levin Smashes), so playing a character with physical Specials is weird to me.

Peach is a case that you might have the basics of how she works down, but mastering her is a whole new beast. She's actually really good and easily a Top 20 character, but she's such a tricky character to properly use that a lot of people decide she's not worth it and as such she sees little use in tournaments, as far as I know.

So, I just had a particularly great match as Little Mac. I started out rather poorly, but I managed to rack up 5 KO's and no deaths. At one point, I managed to up smash KO two of my opponents and KO punch the third in the span of a few seconds.

Peach is great...but her character + my play-style = not good for 1 vs. 1

The way I play Peach is great for Team Battles...same with Zelda, both are just way more effective there.

Er... speaking of Peach, the first part of... this... video showcases her in Smash 4. And now I know where that odd Cat Mario and Peach wallpaper for the 3DS came from...

For some reason I find this utterly surreal...

A lot of my RL friends who play smash like to pick Little Mac. I don't know how they do it, I can't get used to a character with no aerial game. Plus, he has a worse "side-B to die" than Charizard.

Little Mac is one of my least favorite characters to use because I can't play him in the air.

It makes him feel like a big sliding block along the stage with the occasional uppercut.

Finally beat the KO Your Rival 4 Times in Rival Smash challenge with Kirby. It was helpful that Kirby is so light and I could knock him off the stage so much.

And the reward was the Ice Climbers trophy which feels somehow vaguely appropriate but definitely saddening...

All I have left to do is some of the top two rows and the stupid Smash Tour Metroid challenge.

On the topic of learning curves, I kind of want to pick up Olimar because of how rare he is and how confusing his moves can be to uneducated opponents (of which there are very many) but his learning curve looks very scary to me. You need to manage all your pikmin pretty much perfectly, otherwise you'll have trouble racking up damage and K Os.

There's also Kirby, a character I've played casually in every Smash game (except Melee - not because he's awful in it but because I don't own Melee) and want to improve at. When you land the D-Air double-dip and someone tumbles helplessly off the stage you feel like a real champion.

Finally played Smash Tour. I wish you could actually initiate battles far more often. Otherwise, it wasn't that bad. I like Smash Run a bit more, but this was overall fun. I somehow won my first overall one, but I don't get how. I lost all my characters overall... and then it's me and Meta Knight in Sudden Death. I won.

There's way, way too much stuff left up to chance for Smash Tour to be very fun. Smash Run has some luck elements, too, but it's possible to make meaningful choices- Do you head for the edges, risking the high stat boosts there for fights with tougher monsters, or keep to the center regions and pick off weaker opponents?

In Smash Tour, all you really get to chose is whether you want to head for opponents or checkpoints or maybe fighters if they've been allowed to spawn- And more or less, those aren't even choices so much as calculations.

So, I discovered something today...

No matter how good I get at beating the AI, everyone I know in real life is infinitely better than I can ever hope to be.

I noticed that when I finally went online too. AI can have insane reaction time and is programmed to use and deal with all the fighters well, but they can't figure out how to predict what you are planning and they can't change their strategy mid-game, or ever really.

Unless you start playing with amiibos of course.

Stages I like on the Wii U version:

Mushroom Kingdom U (Really like!)
Brawl: Luigi's Mansion (Really like)
Woolly World
Gamer
The Great Cave Offensive

Stages I don't like on the Wii U version:

Brawl: Bridge of Eldin
Pyrosphere

And the rest are pretty forgettable.

Oh yeah, there is a stage I really hate. Palutena's Temple. Even for a screw around stage there's just way too many things on that stage going on and just isn't that fun to play on.

Pyrosphere isn't in Brawl. There's Norfair, Brinstar, and Frigate Orpheon.

I actually don't really have a problem with Palutena's Temple. It's the Great Cave Offensive that bothers me. And also Pac-World.

Keybreak (Long Runner)

The Great Cave Offensive is fun in 8-player Smash when you just have everybody running around doing their own thing.

Pac-Land is really close-quarters for being a scrolling stage. The music is nice though.
