Duck Hunt is a really weird stage. On one hand it doesn't have anything obnoxious going for it, on the other hand it makes things like those grass areas and the high platform stand out that much more.

It feels like the Duck Hunt stage was made especially for that one event.

Because there's a tip that says outright that shooting down all ten ducks in a round doesn't do anything, while on 3DS in Golden Plains, collecting 100 coins turns you gold and makes you flinch less.

Considering there's a good amount of people who play Greninja here, maybe I should write a guide of how to play him effectively tongue

Step 4: PROFIT!

Greninja isn't QUITE that easy to pick up and own with, otherwise I'd already be claiming him as a potential main tongue

If you really wanted to make one, I'd read it. Until then I'll just have to remind myself to put in some more practice time.

Greninja actually has a pretty difficult learning curve. You really need to devote yourself to the character to be useful with him. I think the only character that's harder to use than him is Peach.

I personally find Robin to be pretty annoying to use. I was looking forward to using him (I only ever use the default skins), and I just can't seem to get used to him.

Robin is the best. He's got a learning curve, but he's very satisfying. Shame about the wasted down B though.

I thought Robin was a she.

And I don't know what you're talking about with wasted Down B, Nosferatu is so ridiculously satisfying to pull off.

Nosferatu is just fine as an alternative to a grab, at least.

I sure said that!

I like Male Robin more because he was the first one I saw and so he kinda stuck with me tongue

I've been holding off on learning Robin and Shulk for last while I go through the roster of characters... A project which has been on hold since Christmas. I think I was using Wii Fit Trainer last time I played...

I think the only character that's harder to use than him is Peach..
Hm.

I've been using Robin occasionally. While I'm not good with them (yet (I hope)), I'm fond of their playstyle.

Also, I use female Robin because cute.

I main Yoshi on the 3DS but mess around with Greninja on the side. Tongue Twisted Tyrants those two. Getting the timing down with counters is rough and it feels like you have to a really strong air game to fully grasp Greninja.

I kinda resent Shadow Sneak- I feel like it has just the right combination of versatility and power to be a little too much.

Maybe I just haven't learned how to defend against it well yet.

Isn't it like really unsafe on block? If you bait it out you can probably punish it with ease with most characters. I think. Might be wrong though.

[up][up] Hm? Shadow Sneak is a highly risky move that can very easily result in you being smashed into oblivion. It's versatile and has some good power behind it, yes, but I think it's probably the most unreliable of Greninja's attacks.

Yeah I've been punished for badly timed Shadow Sneaks often enough that I only throw it out thrice or four times a fight. It's a somewhat unreliable way to get the KO on someone not expecting it.

That might very well be my problem- my defensive game is almost all rolls, since it combines a dodge and spacing, something R.O.B. and Duck Hunt like to have control over.

So, just gotta get better at shielding and sidestepping!

I tend to mess up badly when it comes to punishing other's moves, unless they have quite a window of Oh, Crap! to them.

[up]Yup. That's me as well.

Peach is hard to use? She's my main and most of the tricks to her seem pretty simple, at least for the level of play me and my friends are at, which admittedly might not be that high on the competition scale...Levitating close to the ground, using turnips for zoning purposes, her Side B is almost godly in certain circumstances, as is her Smash Side A.

Her umbrella just might be one of my favorite applications, as it seems like it takes some people a moment to realize how much knockback you get by just touch it while descending...

I almost never shield.

It's just hard for my brain to grasp the importance when it will eventually break, and a grab goes through it anyways, while a Dodge can, well, dodge anything within that very specific timeframe.

I'm slowly working on getting past that, but it's still in the early stages.

Shadow Sneak is good as a fake-out move, you run towards the opponent and, expecting an attack, they sidestep or roll, but wait! Greninja used Shadow Sneak which is delayed just enough to strike them in the vulnerable state of their dodge.

It's also good for catching people offstage every once in a while. It also makes Greninja's recovery one of the best in the game, as long as you don't get predictable with it.

Eh, when I grab it's usually out of a block. Robin could've gotten a better down B, is all I'm saying. And again, Thoron is the best.
