[up][up]That might only be if they have a Smash Trophy.

Smash Wii U already has over 700 trophies—if the character already exists then there's a good chance that they have a trophy. tongue

If they don't exist yet, then they can have any pose.

Ganondorf in general is much better in this game than in Brawl.

Here's my ranking from favorite to least of the games:

  • Wii-U
  • Brawl (due to the fact that it was the first SSB I played)
  • Melee
  • 64
  • 3DS

Here's my ranking:

1. 3DS 2. Brawl 3. Melee

Have not played due to not having the consoles for those games: Wii U and O.G. Smash.

As anyone can tell, I don't have a very popular mindset. tongue

Ouch, is the 3DS version REALLY that inferior to the Wii-U version?

I have more problems with the controls of a 3DS than it being a low quality copy of a same-time release Wii U game.

dude 3ds is AMAZING so far

Brawl was my first, but even then I got bored of it quick. Even as a party game it was so... slow..."

I've played them all (except for Wii U), but only owned 64 and 3DS. I like 3DS best. Shame that my Internet is too bad for lag-free online :(

Ah, control issues I can understand. 3DS controls haven't bothered me much, but sometimes the device feels a little too small for my hands for playing Smash with. But I've mostly adjusted and I don't know anyone nearby that has a Wii-U for me to try playing Smash to compare yet.

Only problem with 3DS is sometimes the controls aren't super accurate. Hydro Pump is sometimes read as Shadow Sneak, though that may be my fault.

I don't think I've done Shadow Sneak instead of Hydro Pump since ever in the 3DS version. You just kinda need to get used to how to make it work.

You should be glad that they made Shadow Sneak have less cooldown, a lot of times pre-patch using Shadow Sneak instead of Hydro Pump would spell death tongue

Speaking off I think practicing on Level 6 AI is better than level 9 AI in the long run. Humans simply do not have the level 9 reaction, to the point the trick to beating them is AI exploitation.

anyway i need greninja tips

Circle pad only caused problems when it crapped out...not like broken, but it had a very bad problem delaying upwards and downwards movement when using vice-versa movements beforehand.

It also had a problem of going back to default in game causing the hand to slide, menu select to scroll for a little bit, and characters to crouch long than necessary even after I let go of the Circle pad for a short time.

It was Extremely annoying and anything that hampers my playing ability will be described as such including my own sweaty thumbs...which is no longer a problem due to me pulling the rubber cover off. I stopped playing for like three weeks and the pad is now fine again.

I really hate how in stock team matches the fighter who loses the least lives comes out in front, even when their score would put them way behind.

And the CPU's are always so Gang Up on the Human that they will literally walk through another CPU to get at you. It's so wrong.

Negative points from K.O.s...is a thing so that does factor in.

The Cpu goes after humans less, but its usually them going after whoever hits them.

Just a little. First it's about how many lives you lose, then it factors in how many KO's you got against the other team.

And I dunno, maybe it's just because I'm always the one who does the attacking while my team just mucks around. ;p

Yeah, the Control Pad is far from perfect.

As for rankings;

  • 1: 3DS
  • 2: 64
  • 3: Melee
  • 4: Brawl

I barely played any of Wii U enough to judge it(but I quite like it over Brawl at the moment, at least mechanics/multiplayer/balance-wise. Can't say for other Modes yet). So far having fun, though. I'm waiting for my adapter to arrive already. The Gamepad is too big for my hands, and my 3DS apparently can't be used outside of basic multiplayer options, so that's no good. Not wasting batteries on my Classic Controller either.

Half-relatedly, Samus seems to have really high defense. Every time I put her in an 8-Player Smash with the seven other Firsts, she always leads in fewest falls.

That or she's just that good.

I'm pretty sure that out of the initial 8 character, Samus is the heaviest so she has less trouble surviving attacks.

DK's definitely heavier than Samus, but yeah, Samus has good defense for how much smaller her frame is. I believe she's around R.O.B., Link and Captain Falcon as being in that group that sort of stands at the threshold between medium and heavyweight.

Pretty sure?

The only competition she has is Link.

She's also has wall jumps...so in a good stage choice, advantage Samus.
