Hey guys! Got SSB4 today!
I don't think I'll play any matches online yet, though. It's not because I can't, it's because I'm embarrassingly bad at the game. Like, hideously bad.

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Classic 9.0 without losing any lives is one of the hardest things I've ever done.
Is this a Jo Jo reference?Okay, that probably with my console preference, which Wii U represents more than handhelds in terms of stages.
I meanwhile am of the opposite opinion in terms of the version I prefer.
Granted, different stages and less bullshit challenges help in addition to Smash Run, better Classic Mode (Me playing Wii U Classic Mode: Sweet! This fighter gives out Custom Moves as a reward. I'll just go to that fight and kill him and- DID AN INTRUDER JUST KNOCK AWAY THAT FIGHTER?! FUCK THIS! I'LL JUST BUILD UP A HOARD OF CRAZY ORDERS PASSES THEN!) (Or simply just the fact that 8-Player Smash fights is a thing in Wii U Classic Mode in general: Fuck that!), and the fact that Smash 3DS is a more personalized experience.

Well, it would probably be pretty frustrating. This game isn't quite Brawl, but running away is still really easy and there's very little you can do when you're trying to be the offensive player... Plus, you know, a minute and a half is a pretty long time.
I'm kinda speaking from experience. That guy I mentioned before who actually beat me a couple times and drove me to screams of frustration despite barely playing the game just... basically discovered that Ike has a Counter. It was extremely frustrating to play against him because whenever I approached him, I risked being slashed and I risked being countered, and because he kept countering, grabs were the only safe option, but I can't exactly get KOs with a grab, and because Ike gets so much more damage and knockback on me from a single hit than I can get on him, I had to try and combo him, but because of the low hitstun, I'd still keep running into his counter, and I could just not get a single strong hit in because any attack with strong knockback that has the least bit of startup lag risks being countered... It feels a lot like you're being punished for trying to play the game. ... And I really lost it when one time I was playing Yoshi and I actually anticipated his Counter and delayed my attack to hit him in the ending lag... but then that ending lag was so short I just ran right into the next one. Just. Fuck. Fucking hell. Fuck whoever came up with counter moves in this stupid game.
(To be fair, these were free-for-alls with 3 human players and 3 CPUs and we generally tried to focus on the CPUs first, and I usually played Random, so I didn't have the kind of fine control with most characters to perfectly gauge how I can handle him, but... still.)
They really want you to play Smash Tour. I mean, that's the only way to unlock Pac Land.

Is this a Jo Jo reference? It was late last night and I don't remember the exact order of events, It started with me just trying to not die by stupidly rushing into combat and then kinda stalled... Been trying to make a point of not letting that happen again because I don't want to have fun by ruining someone else's day.

Sadly, though, it doesn't have the charm that superhero figurines have...
Putting them in embarassing positions because lol. Hard to do that when you can't bend their little limbs.
@Wacky: Awesome. And you don't need prep time for online!!! The best way to get better at something is to to repeatedly launch yourself at the brick wall, with great force, and repeatedly!!!
...I mean, don't think too hard about it. Just learn as you go, since in the big picture, the record doesn't matter much. It's the fights themselves and the lessons you sort of learn maybe!

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."

Not surprised they'd have more stock of the of characters like Mario and Link, I'm not going to worry about amiibos any time soon because I still need to get a wii-U first!
Started playing some more For Glory after taking a break yesterday and realizing that I had only played 2 matches against human opponents since BRAWL came out. So it really shouldn't be any surprise I was having trouble getting used to fighting human opponents! Up to 40% now.
Also won one of my matches by taking out a Lucina with about 1:30 left and then dodging around to try and run the timer into Sudden Death because I was at 80% and we both had one stock left, she SDed with about 15 seconds on the clock... Kinda feel guilty about that one. Is intentionally running down the timer bad form or something? >_<
