Dad just told me he heard about a Fox amiibo that sold for $2000. And he says laughing "Didn't I tell you not to open it?"
He didn't by the way. ;p But I wanted Fox more than almost all the other amiibos.
I kept the box though.
And now I have the entire First 8 and Peach. Which probably means that I need Zelda too now...
Oh no, soon I'm going to turn into one of those collectors that hunts for ebay auctions and spends $2000 for a Falco amiibo. XP
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayCare to explain how they're the Holy Trinity?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Sold out virtually everywhere due to explicit stocking negligence and are generally unreasonably expensive as a result (online retailers tend to put them at around $40 minimum).
Could do with a better name, though.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyOh yeah, the guy at Gamestop told me that those went fast.
Well the only amiibos I really need are the ones that are gonna add something extra on new games I get. Got Fox and Samus for that reason in particular...
Also, does anybody else's amiibo do this? My Mario always hangs back until I come to him, shields against my attack and counters right after, or just shoots fireballs from far away. My Fox is a lot similar.
Is it just because they learn from the way I fight? Or is that the way they ALL fight.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayThey learn from the people they fight.
If they learn strategies to beat you efficiently, they will employ them.
Which is the main reason I have yet to awaken mine.

By now I'm having trouble finding strategies to even lay hits on them.
All I can do is hope that they miss the attack they make after I miss so I can counter their counter.
It's so unsettling...they're like pufferfish that blow up the second you get too close to them.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI haven't gotten an Amiibo yet (or even the Wii U version ;-;), but with everyone telling me how they keep adapting to your playstyle and horribly smashing you, with one almost winning an actual tournament, I'm getting the feeling they made the 'learn' part a little too potent...
Just as long as they don't learn how to code...
It also depends on which aMiibo you use. Remember, they've got the reflexes of the computer, and copy whatever tricks you use, and if have the ability to, will also counter whatever tricks you use.
So, if I use a lot of drop attacks on Pikachu, eventually he'll learn to counter me with Thunder. If I use attacks to smash him when he's falling slowly from a great height, he'll fall quickly, and as far from me as possible. If my combat involves a lot of gap-closing to slam him with a special, he learns to spam thunder-jolt because I have poor blocking and dodging reflexes. And then he does nothing but spam thunder-jolt.
And heaven help you for a Pikachu that learns how to win Sudden Death.
I realize now that it'd probably take months to perfect all of my amiibos. So sad.
I'd have to hit em with every character in every situation, though...I probably really don't need to do that.
I wish something special would happen when you train them up to 50 though. Like...they gain a special custom move. ;p
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI think, after a year has passed, someone should take an amiibo of one of the top tier characters, find the highest ranked tourney players for every character, and then have those players battle that amiibo for at least one hour a day for a week. It would take quite a while but the result may be outstanding.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Meanwhile, Smash Tour continues to be infuriating. I'm still trying to do that challenge where you take back your stats that a Metroid steals from you, but it's random whether the Metroid appears, and you have to be sure to take back your own stats.
Well I was playing a Tour with my gamepad and two Wiimotes so I could make it easier, and when a Metroid finally appears it floats into one of my unmanned Miis and the Mii that I wasn't controlling goes and snags it. Aaaaaaaaagh.
Also, it used an item that gave it a teammate during a non-team battle and they beat me out.
Aaaaaaaaaaaagh.
So I have to do a Tour again or consider using one of my hammers to break the challenge and get that last CD so I can finally have all of them.
AAAAAAAAAAAAGH.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI really need to get my hands on a Link and Yoshi amiibo. Link for the spinner in Hyrule Warriors. Yoshi because I've always wanted a pet Yoshi.
After forgetting to ask for them for Christmas, I've pretty much lost any incentive to go and buy those things. Because I do kinda want them all, but it's starting to sound impossible by this point.
Maybe I can buy and hold onto one until it's worth hundreds, then sell it and use the money to buy all the rest of the amiibos! Totally foolproof plan, right?!
Pffft, I can totally do that!

Even with these awkward wings, dyed with images that seem to stay. I'm sure we can fly, on my love! 3DS Friend Code: 2809-9138-8756I was able to find some still at $13. The common, basic, starter ones anyway.
After the First Eight, Peach, and later Zelda, I don't know if I'm going to get anymore...unless I get bored. Or a game I want comes out that uses another one.
I don't regret buying all of these. ;p I just regret that I don't have more friends to play with them with.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayOn the contrary, I believe Nintendo's most popular franchises would always have their amiibos in stock. Because those are the easy ones to get a hold of.
The only games Mario isn't a starter in are games that aren't about him. He's like the easiest character to get anywhere.

One of the ways of which the 3DS version is preferable to the Wii U version.
