- I've found that beating Master Orders with the character you want specials for is the fastest way for me. Sometimes after a ticket you can get a bonus piece of equipment for whoever you're using.
- I've read that you can get CD's while playing Smash with items on, but I never got any...probably because I got em all in Master Orders. Also there are some that you have to beat challenges for.
- One color is for new songs and one color is for songs from older Smash games, but I don't remember which was which. ^I figured that red was new.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay...And now I realize I completely misread the last question. Ah well, that's usual for me (and just as well; I didn't know the answer to that one either).
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Time. Lots and lots of time. Irritatingly, the custom category also includes and most of the time will give equipment rather than moves, across every mode that gives them. You have no idea whether that package of goodies from Master/Crazy Orders or those wrenches you got in the roulette in Classic Mode (or from beating certain fighters) will be a move or a Shield Badge, but usually it'll be the latter.
I've found the mode that gives custom moves most reliably is Smash Tour, but you also have very little control over what you unlock in that mode so it's a toss-up.
Also, IIRC Crazy Orders does reliably give one Custom Move to the fighter you most recently defeated, should you beat Crazy Hand.

For people who play characters that can create items like Diddy's banana
Especially Megaman, my god.

Oh, cancel dashes and mobility exploits, no matter what developers do or don't put into their games you will never stop being a fighting game staple. The gamers will always find a way, if there isn't already one.
Also, Megaman is now officially broken on walkoff stages.

I could see that getting fixed, though.
Whoop, Mr. Game & Watch can do Spitball Sparky tech on the ground now too!

I sure said that! No, he outright said if an issue comes up, he'll fix those(if he believes it's an issue). He said well more than that.
"In an interview with Famitsu magazine this week, Sakurai has said that he has no plans to balance or update the game further, other than providing fixes for a few things associated with the online play experience.
He did mention, however, that if there are any glaring issues with the characters' customize parts or moves, the development team would address them too — but only if necessary."

Source. Hopefully it works right due to the long url. But yeah, he said more none the less. Online issues was a specific thing he plans to fix as is. And since online is far from perfect, we can probably expect some patches for it.
Hey everyone! I named my amiibo. Dankey Kang. He is pink.
Sheesh, all these fancy techniques/skills/exploits popping up makes the idea of trying to get good at Smash pretty daunting. I already know I'm not smart enough to discover these things, dunno if I'm good enough to learn how to use any of them.
Oh well, I'm stuck with 3DS anyway and I kind of doubt it's going to get as much of the competitive scene with the Wii-U version out. But in other news, only 13 characters to go before I clear All-Star with everyone (on normal). Then I get to work my way through Smash Run!

Bought the game yesterday along with my Wii U yesterday as a belated Christmas present.
LOVING IT!
Already I've done 5 vs. matches with CPUs and I still got it!
It really helps that you can still use the Wii Remote by itself.
Quick question, how many Vs. battles do I have to do to fight and unlock Lucina? 10, right?
10 gets you Falco. Lucina is unlocked after 30 (or alternatively you could beat Classic at 5.5 or higher intensity).

Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Gotta love how easy character unlocks got.
Many may not like it, and prefer experimenting and doing everything to unlock everything the game has to offer but I'm not adventurous or clever, so screw hyous.

"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018Got Smash Wii U for Christmas, and I got some time to play around with it yesterday.
I'm currently sucking a lot more than I expected. I don't know if it's because I still need to get used to a non-Gamecube controller (I should probably change the "grab" and "shield" buttons to where I keep thinking they are), or if I'm just horribly out of practice.
Also, are amiibos used for anything other than generic Smash battles? Or are you able to summon your amiibo during any of the other modes?
I'd love to play more of the Wii U Smash Bros., but unfortunately, my Gamepad's screen broke internally a few days back. Took it to Best Buy's Geek Squad (because I got the console there during Smash-Fest in June), and apparently they've run into some stumbling blocks. It's a good thing it's still under warranty. And with the Gamepad busted, I can't play while the TV is in use (which is the vast majority of the day), nor do I have a GCN adapter or a Pro Controller, and I absolutely refuse to use the Wiimote or the Wiimote+Nunchuk.
On a lighter note, I found (while playing Smash for 3DS) that throwing a Pitfall at one of Kawashima's numbers makes it fall down to and through the ground.

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's Dictionary

Don't know about the first (I've just been using Master Orders myself), but for the other two:
- CDs occasionally drop during normal fights (CD factories don't work anymore, sadly) and might show up as an in-between reward in All-star (at least, I got an equipment piece during an All-star run; might be a similar story for CDs).
- Remixes are tracks remixed for Smash, while original tracks are completely unaltered from their source.
