I don't really try to cheese the level 9s

I feel that they aren't actually that precise and calculated about everything (in the 3DS ver. anyway)

or at least I am playing so improperly that they can't even comprehend what the fuck they are supposed to be doing about such an idiotic player

because I don't really change up anything I do against them

and it's not like I think I'm a good player either

@Full Moon: Geez, just how high up can that counter take you? Also, is that you there?

@Beaver: Kirby and his front air really racks up damage on the Hands and the Core. Also, if you're feeling like a badass, you could try and reach them with Jigglypuff. That puff and her amazing air attacks make a punching bag out of the bosses; or a sleeping bag rather. Just try and not get hit.

[up] It's me playing, yes.

Also you don't really need aerials for attacking the hands, you can just use an up-smash, Greninja's in particular is great at killing the hands.

Shulk's up smash works wonders too. Lots of range, and two hits for the price of one. Even better if you activate Buster; that increased damage output is amazing against bosses.

I don't have much to say about the Hands, but as far as the Core goes I've found Ike's Aether Drive custom move to be the best move against it. Against the giant and the swords, anyway.

DK's Hand Slap and Charizard's Rock Smash both eat through bosses like a blowtorch through tissue paper, too.

Let's not forget about Yoshi and the d-air that used to be his only claim to fame until they suddenly made him one of the best characters (hah).

I have a feeling they really didn't think this through not making enough Amiibos. How does a pre-order get cancelled due to stock shortage?! And it's not even like the Gamecube adapter where they had reason to believe it would be a niche item for the competitive crowd (which they were also wrong about), this is something they hyped up for everyone and designed to appeal to little kids.

I guess Nintendo is trying not to overproduce them and end up selling a lot less like it probably happened with the Wii U. So I guess the number of people trying to buy the amiibo surprised them.

On the one hand, the fact that they released Smash 3DS before Smash U shows a certain confidence in the idea that they were still going to sell plenty of copies of the latter, but this underproduction makes it seem like they're surprised that their schemes to save their ailing console are actually succeeding. tongue

So I just completed the final Event.

Because Sonic, Mario and Megaman all decided to kill themselves, leaving me to fight Pacman who is pretty easily dealt with.

Ha, I still main Rosalina but I think I'm having more luck with Robin than I am with her. I guess Rosie's just really difficult to play effectively.

I completed those last 2 events on hard with Shulk. With the villain one, I finished off the three of them at the same time with a well placed Vision against one of Ganon's attacks. So long-a, Bowser!

Rosalina is a character that really doesn't work in any environment that isn't 1-on-1, it's so coordinate her properly. I do like her though, her gameplay just doesn't click with me tongue

She can do really well double-teaming in one-on-one, but if she loses Luma she's just kinda okay, and the more characters present to fight the harder it is for her to keep Luma out of harm's way. The extended respawn time in 3DS 1.0.4 and Wii U definitely makes it an even trickier proposition.

Even with the nerf, she's one of only two characters that I'm genuinely afraid of coming across in For Glory. The other of course being Diddy Kong.

The one I fear most is Ness. I just cannot get through his attacks for some reason. Especially PK Fire, that move can go die in itself.

So far I haven't found a fighter I dread to go against. It's pretty much a crapshoot if I'm gonna have trouble against any particular fighter. Then again, I haven't gone against a Zero Suit Samus or a Rosalina in For Glory, so that might be why.

[up]Oh yeah, Charizard has given me lots of trouble.

I managed to fight a ZSS that tried to be fancy and edgeguard my Robin to make me waste my Elwind, but she used Up B too low to the stage and reached the blast zone before I did.

Huh, did anyone think they made any changes to the system in the background? I got 75m and Orbital Gate in my "For Fun" online matches, and i'd never gotten those stages (or any of the larger, more intricate ones) before.

I also ran into a glitch where the character select screen formed without a "P1" icon, and by pressing start while having no character selected, i crashed the game. Thankfully i didn't get penalized for it (still a bit sore about that last time...)
