So, I got Smash Wii U for my birthday. It's fantastic, of course, but that's not what I want to talk about. What I want to talk about is that me and my cousins discovered a glitch.
So, what happened is that one of of my cousins started spamming the A button on the character select screen, causing Xander Morbus to to start yelling "Samu-Samu-Samu-Samu-Samu..." Me and my other cousin promptly joined in, creating a cacophonous symphony of the Announcer's beautiful voice. And then I realized that, when I stopped picking a character over and over, even when I had no character chosen, the "Press start to begin" message was displayed. I backed out to fix it, but then later I realized I could have, hypothetically, started a match without having chosen any character.
This calls for further experimentation, but I'm not sure I want to risk completely breaking the game...
EDIT: Also, the moral of this story is that you should gather some friends and repeatedly choose characters over and over again, it's freaking hilarious.

"We're home, Chewie."Look at this custom stage.

As soon as I get this game, I am making that stage.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!50-Stock Match. Master Balls only. I wound up with 7 C Ds, one of which was "Roll Out, Wonderful 100!" I've been looking for that song forever!
I also had no idea Ike's Theme was back in this game.
Just about. Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic and the Black Knight, Sonic Colors, Sonic Lost World...
I think they took out Sonic Boom and Super Sonic Racing from Sonic CD or Sonic R.
Sonic Sonic Sonic Sonic.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay06's is technically out as well.
And more predictably, zilch from Shadow and the modern racing games.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyFingers crossed for more ridiculous Crush 40/Zebrahead buttrock DLC?
(Note: Not an insult)
I sure said that!Or, you know, that they have to get permission to remake the song. Not always that easy, after all. It's not like Nintendo or a subdivision of Nintendo owns the song, so first they have to ask, and then hope they say yes, and hope they let them do it for free. It's a complicated mess. But using the instrumental? Cheap and easy(and it still sounds cool regardless).
And I forgot that song used that word. Huh.
Shadow?I believe details like that are part of the process of negotiating use of the characters and/or locations from that series in the first place - it could even be a part and parcel kind of deal, rather than "and then you have to beg for music to use, as well." Or at least, it shouldn't be - music doesn't strike me as something that would be a separate category from the rest of the terms of usage (the idea that Nintendo would be doing it "for free" is thus not really correct).
I find it unlikely that Sega would refuse rearrangement in this specific instance given what the companies have readily allowed each other to do in the past, but then we don't have a window into the process for that sort of thing so who knows.

Despite Calling to the Night being nearly the same thing.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guy...Anyways, that video reminded me. I feel like the crowd cheers in Smash 4 (at least in the 3DS version) aren't as... enthusiastic?... as they used to be... Or something. I can't put my finger on it, but they don't really pump me up like they used to (and they also happen much more rarely and last about a second before going away).
Hey, you guys hear this one yet? Apparently it plays on Miiverse and it may be my new favorite song.

Quick question, in the stage builder there are four backgrounds to chose from. One of them, the space one, has a huge ship in the background, as seen here.
◊ Is this FROM anything? Or is it just a random ship put in there to look cool?
