I see what you mean now, I don't know what exactly they're doing.
I think they might just make it something that happens every now and again...now they're taking a break, if they ever had the idea to make it a constantly updated thing.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Really, I'd say Fire Emblem currently does deserve the roster spots they got, which I can't really say for Star Fox.
Also, some All-Star Battle Event trivia:
All-Star Battle: Regulars have all the starters from the original grouped together, unsurprisingly.
New Challengers 1 is mostly composed of newcomers that are more cartoony and western in style, with the exception of Lucina.
All-Star Battle: Melee have all the Melee veterans that debuted in Melee and have not been cut since. That's why Falco and Mr. Game & Watch are grouped here despite their status as consistently secret characters, while the rest are all on the starting roster for the Wii U version (with Ganondorf being unlockable for the 3DS version).
New Challengers 2 pits you against characters that are more japanese in style + the new third party guest fighters.
All-Star Battle: Brawl has all the veterans from Brawl that have not been cut since, with the exception of R.O.B., Toon Link, and Sonic. All of them have also been part of the starting roster of at least one Smash game, though some are in different games (Wario in Brawl, Lucario in 3DS and Wii U).
All-Star Battle: Secret has the secret four from the original + Dr. Mario from Melee, and Toon Link, R.O.B., and Sonic from Brawl. All have been secret unlockables in at least one previous game in the Smash franchise. As for why Toon Link and R.O.B. are not with the Brawl All-Stars, Toon Link is technically the successor and an update to Young Link from Melee and so technically was cut and replaced with himself between Melee and Brawl (reflected in him coming after Dr. Mario, the other Melee veteran in this battle, rather than after R.O.B.), while R.O.B. is the only Brawl Veteran to stay an unlockable character after Brawl. Sonic is grouped into this by virtue of not only being the only returning third party fighter who's been an unlockable. The rest should be a no-brainer: The secret four were the original 64 unlockables and are thus some of the most famous of the secret fighters, regardless of their status as starters in some of the games, while Dr. Mario didn't participate in Brawl and thus doesn't have the status of the other Melee veterans.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Also, being a veteran justifies Doc. And will also justify Pittoo and Lucina, should they return.

The fact that they were easy clones means they justify KI getting 3 reps and FE 4 by being that easy to implement. Same goes for Dr. Mario, but he has the added convenience of bringing back the pre-Brawl Mario moveset in spirit and being more different from his parent character(s?) than either of the other two thanks to established properties in Melee, which is coolio.
Skilled enough to have him use kicks and/or fists in every Zelda game where he appears at any rate.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Was that sarcasm? I had to struggle to remember an instance where Ganondorf used his fists.
He punched/hulked-smashed the ground in Ocarina of Time and broke Midna's fused shadow with his hands in Twilight Princess. That's about it from the games I've played. Even when he cuts loose with Ganon, he always has a sword or his staff with him.
Now if you asked me to name every time he played tennis...

Souleye - PPPPPP - Potential for Anything 3DS FC: 2621-3105-8671He has as a heel kick in TWW that breaks your guard, bitch slaps Zelda in the same, and I seem to recall him doing something in TP as well.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I think I might have scared my Samus amiibo away from using the charge beam...
I noticed my one keeps trying close combat and short hopping missiles since I wiped it . She doesn't even bother with the charge beam that often anymore and if she does, it is only in weak, disruptive shots. Last time, she preferred to hang back and short hop full charge beams.
Kinda preferring my much more aggressive version of my Samus amiibo (named SA-X at the moment) though.
Avatar by Pastel Mistress: http://pastelmistress.deviantart.com/Regrettably, I have never played Wind Waker and I forgot about that sage. And that was Beast Ganon, not Ganon that did not have the weapon.
Either way, that's less than a fifth of all his appearances and none of the instances take place in an actual boss battle.
well said.

But again, those are incidental things, not his specialty. I'm not going to sit here and pretend Ganondorf copying Falcon was anything besides a desperate last-minute addition that became set in stone for shaky reasons. Tradition, contrary to popular belief, is not a justification of anything in and of itself.
Maybe Ganondorf is just a Captain Falcon fan, except unlike all the others, he actually is proud of it and shows it by imitating his moves and adding his own twist on some of them.

x3 Indeed. He is just a really powerful motherfucker that no Earth weapon can harm. Kinda funny since his powers are actually standard Kryptonian physiology IIRC. Joker was a god once though. Remember Emperor Joker?
Mv C 3 had Amaterasu as well, the Japanese sun goddess, just as much as it had world eater Galactus and the Dread Dormammu, and the immortal galaxy destroying Phoenix Force that is practically always inside of miss Jean Grey, and that is when she's NOT Dark Phoenix. Its called Power Creep, Power Seep. Hell, even Wolverine would be fucking unbeatable normally (Except if Magneto was about)
Also my same post mentioned Dhaos and I reckon if Ganondorf kept most of his moves but swapped out Warlock Punch for some sort of energy beam Ganondorf Laser he'd be reminiscent of Dhaos, particularly his Tales of VS form
Are explosions science?Spent a whole hour today trying to get a "perfect" on target test 2. I lucked into it on one and three a while ago thankfully. Came close with Ness but finally nailed it with King Dedede.
But then they want me to beat my "perfect" high score on test 3 by about 25,000. Which is the interesting thing, i watched my GSP go *down* after getting perfect on test 2, because one of my attempts had actually had a higher score, even missing one of the red targets and the 30,000 bonus that goes with it.
While I agree, at the same time, by both Brawl and Smash 4, WarioWare was definitely the more important series starring Wario, with Wario Land now mostly a distant memory, Shake It!/The Shake Dimension having been released after Brawl's release and Wario's (original, at least) moveset being established though removing the shoulder charge forward smash in 4 was a mean move.
Ganondorf, by contrast, has no internal variants like Wario does, being fairly consistent across the Zelda series.

I sure said that!Let's remember that all Ganondorf did in Ocarina was fire energy balls at you when he wasn't transformed into a giant boar. He never used his swords even once against you in that game. There's wasn't exactly much moveset material there.
Even in TP he didn't do much more than some sword moves and summoning some ghosts while on the horseback battle (can't talk much about WW because I never played it). I don't even remember him using much magic against you at all in the Zelda games I've played outside of Hyrule Warriors, and in that game he could easily ditch his swords and work pretty damn well as a brawler, hell I was even expecting HW!Ganondorf to use Flame Choke at some point.
I dunno, I don't really care about Ganondorf, he's probably the Zelda character I care the least about and in my ideal roster I would replace him with Ghirahim without thinking twice about it. Still I don't really think there's anything wrong with him the way he is right now.
And I'm all up for Nintendo making some stuff up for Smash instead of basing things only on previous games. Hell, if it wasn't for that we wouldn't have the awesomeness that is Greninja dual-wielding water swords, also I'm pretty sure Shadow Sneak doesn't work that way in Pokémon.

While I think that the creators of Project M were wrong when they said that Wario Land was "more iconic" (it likely depends on how old you are), I also think that Wario Land offered more varied moveset ideas. I'm still disappointed that project M got rid of his Bike, though, since it was a pretty brilliant special move.

"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"

Took a snapshot of that first attempt at a stage I mentioned. I called it "Fyord English" for... some reason.
◊
The edges of the main platform aren't grabbable. It's partly kind of an ordinary stage, but unless you can just straight KO your opponent vertically or off the sides from the main platform, the platforms on the left and the right make for a different edge game than normal. There's the wall, of course, and an underpass of small, precarious platforms that's a huge risk to traverse.
I haven't played on it often enough to really be able to tell how good it is to play on, much less against human opponents, and a bunch of the elements might need some tweaking, but overall I think there's some interesting stuff going on in it for such a small stage.
