Any thoughts on Port Town Aero Dive being considered for counterpick? The hazards are extremely telegraphed, but the bouncing floor formed by the track as the platform races by might be too much of an issue to overcome.
And while Pilotwings is a pity, here's hoping it gets fixed in the future.

I sure said that!Ugh, i've managed to avoid creating custom characters so far. Want to see if i can continue to do so. My goal for now is to get rid of all of the grey boxes on the challenge board, no mysteries. If i need to make a custom character or three, i will.
In my quest, i did end up pulling off an "Intense" Master Orders ticket.
@Pulse
For trophies sure, but not counting for challenges means you can take Classic on at you're comfort zone without worrying about anything.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Pilotwings apparently also has a really obnoxious bar that can kill if you're not careful, though this is only from what I've heard rather than experienced. Don't take my word as gospel.
Anyway, I had a sneaking suspicion Town and City would be counterpick, but I didn't think Duck Hunt would be starter? I assumed with the platform placement it would be better suited for counterpick, though I agree it should be legal regardless.
To save people from looking, here's said question:
'Fraid I don't know enough to be of assistance to you, myself. Sorry.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Honestly I kinda wish he stopped for real. Considering just how much this one exhausted him and that, like he himself said, the next installment would need to have even more content in this one, I don't think it'll be healthy for him to keep directing this series. I want to see this series get better and better as it goes, but I don't want that to happen at the expense of someone's health. Having someone else direct Smash 5 would probably be for the better.
With or without him its always possible, its not like he could call this the Last actual Smash Bros. game.
The last one he makes, probably.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I wouldn't be surprised if this really is the last Smash game Sakurai works on. This entry seemed to have taken a large toll on his health, especially compared to the earlier entries. I think this was the only game where he had repeatedly stated in interviews how hard it was to work on something like this (he may have mentioned it while developing other games before, but he seemed to make a point of mentioning it during Smash 4's development).
That said, I doubt that Nintendo will let the series die out because Sakurai won't be working on them anymore.
On the contrary, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo does more games like this in the future. Take an evergreen title like Mario Kart or Smash, make it for both handheld and console, develop it on the same engine, give them enough content to differentiate them, and release them for double the profit at half the cost. Maybe space them out some more, but the overall principle is something I could see Nintendo do.
I think it might a good idea to just get someone else in as the director next time around. I appreciate Sakurai and all but it's clear the guy is suffering from the workload from this particular entry, and though I mean no disrespect, a couple of his design decisions kinda confuse me (Lack of shield stun for the last couple games in particular).
So be aware, all, if you want Mewtwo free, then you have to have both versions and register them with Club Nintendo
, otherwise he's paid.
I've seen those little inserts in my game boxes about Club Nintendo and I've never looked at them because rewards programs always exasperate me...but Nintendo makes it look kind of fun
. And I've always been a fan of Nintendo.
Shame I'm so old though, I don't know how many games I'll be buying in the next few years...
But! If I can get Mewtwo free!
Anybody else who wanted him...well he shouldn't cost any more than another whole game and system.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay

So right now Smash U has a pretty big list of stages available for play
Starters: Final Destination, Battlefield, Duck Hunt, Lylat Cruise, Smashville
Counterpick: Castle Siege, Town and City, Halberd, Skyloft, Wuhu Island, Delfino Plaza and Pokémon Stadium 2.
I think Pilot Wings would be allowed too, but I heard there's a glitch in it that resulted in a ban. Still, it's a pretty good selection of stages and there's some good variety in it, mainly because of stages like Delfino Plaza that are often changing in layout.
