I'm really not. I have enough trouble keeping track of multiple opponents, let alone if one of them is a massive, lethal stage hazard. The best-case scenario is camping bored until they go away.
It would've been nice if after you beat him, the stage would change to another part of Wily's Fortress from Mega Man 1 kinda like Flat Zone 2 would change if you beat the chef. That way you wouldn't always be fighting in such a cramped space.

Souleye - PPPPPP - Potential for Anything 3DS FC: 2621-3105-8671Tsk tsk, I like a lot of the stages.
Orbital Gate, Pyrosphere, Palutena's Temple...
I don't always go to them, but I like that they're there.
Really it doesn't matter where I'm fighting as much as who I'm fighting.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayThe only thing the stages effect...
Is Offensive and Defensive playing.
Hazards are easily dealt with, since they are weak sauce.

The thing is: CAN I deal with them? Absolutely. Should I HAVE to deal with them? Absolutely not.
If I wanted a game full of random chaos and constant annoyances, I'd play Mario Party. And the fact that I don't play Mario Party should tell you something.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerOf the new stages, the only one I'm not all that fond of is Palutena's Temple because it's so frakking huge, though that only really becomes a problem when your opponent is a coward and keeps running around. Every other stage I find enjoyable enough, though I feel that the Yellow Devil should stay dead once killed, instead of showing up again about twenty seconds later.
As for returning stages, I honestly don't know why they brought back 75 M. At least it isn't as bad anymore, they removed the east side's walkoffs and now you can fall through the platforms, which helps with mobility, but it's still a rather awkward stage to fight on.

(hey I actually noticed) Y Eah I remember that glitch. Fucking hilarious shit.
That implies that the player can't handle the hazard.

Only now it's Smash Tour.
That is, if you want to play to win things. If you just want to play to fight, then there are always Omega stages.
Video games are about learning the obstacles to overcome them. Fighting games on their own are just about beating an enemy and moving onto the next one without anything else in your way, but traditionally, that's never been what Super Smash Bros is.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI'm not against hazards per se, but I much prefer ones like the Combo Cannon on Halberd, which gives plenty of warning and doesn't interrupt the natural flow of the fight too often.

Ugh... Don't even talk to me about Smash Tour. Trudging through all three maps to unlock Pac-Land was some of the longest 45+ minutes of my life.
And that may not be traditionally what it is, but it's what I enjoy. I find what it "traditionally" is extremely boring. And I am thankful for the omega stages.

It's "per se".
I'm perfectly fine with stage hazards so long as we have stages like Final Destination and Battlefield for when we want only skill to factor into things.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I'm fine with most stage hazards.
It's ones that take up half the damn screen I have a problem with. How can I possibly have fun if I can't see anything that's going on?!

Alright, that's fixed.
I guess part of my issue is, I want stages like Battlefield and Final Destination, but not just Battlefield and Final Destination. Sakurai really piled on with the crazy this time and a lot of stages are just minor diversions for the times you feel like luck should be more important than effort.
Speaking as someone who mostly plays R.O.B. and Duck Hunt, as an aside, I really wish Final Destination weren't the model of ideal competitive play to Sakurai. We really should have gotten Battlefield variants instead of or in addition to Omega Mode.

I sure said that!I vastly prefer a lot of randomness when playing against my friends.
If one of us gets screwed over by the Random Number God, then they can be angry at the game, as opposed to me getting angry at my friend because he always beats me.
Luck is about as important as skill. Not as much, but if you're skillful enough, then you can still have terrible luck.
And skill isn't just how you fight, it's knowing where the trouble comes from.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayBasically, I like things to be as much in my control as possible. Things like items and stage hazards are like mosquitoes to me. I try to enjoy myself, but they buzz in my ear. Nothing I can't deal with, but it's incredibly annoying and while it doesn't affect my performance, it affects my enjoyment of the experience.
I play Smash to relieve stress, not stress myself out even more.

Anyone know about any plans for stores to re-stock on Gamecube controller adapters?
