The Fool
Arms is about battering or throwing items. Course you can't typically rely on always having items handy, unless you have a badge that spawns you with one.
I don't focus on it, or Special. Just Attack, Defense, Speed, Jump, and All.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayArms determines how long power ups like the starman lasts, how strong items are, and how strong the character's throws are. There's nothing more satisfying than a really long period of invincibility in a mode filled with Goddamned Bats and Demonic Spiders.

Apparently someone bought a really glitched up copy of the game.

I know several of you have Amiibos. Since nobody will give me a straight, definite answer anywhere else: Is it possible to fight them without stat boosts?

And if you're talking about the damage boost they get when they're higher level, then no, there's nothing you can do about that.
Also, just cleared Classic 9.0 as Mega Man for the first time with no customizations (not that I had used them at all in Classic before). I feel accomplished.
For the record, Mac was the only other fighter that came as close as Mega Man... I had a KO Punch ready for the Master Shadow when it knocked me off stage and used Mac's forward tilt to KO me before I could return. Palutena only got to Master Edges.

No, for whatever reason amiibo fighters get artificial stat boosts at their maximum level regardless of customization, and guess which trope that fits. You can't get rid of them.
It's a shame too, since they can fight so well even without them
So basically, they're completely worthless if I want a sparring partner? Damn it...
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI kinda suck at this game.
As in, it took me 3 tries to beat 3.1 difficulty for classic mode.
Is this a Jo Jo reference?
Or they do have access to that but the only ones who can play are like ![]()
and wouldn't really do you any good (no offense).
It's fine.
Also its funny to see a online little mac try to do a side B and fall off the edge of the stage
Is this a Jo Jo reference?I didn't say otherwise. Just that it's still a poor substitute for a human and will not help much regardless.
If your intention is to be good at the games in general, any good opponent will do. If your intention is to be good against computers, practice against computers. If your intention is to be good against humans, practice against humans. They're too different of opponents overall.
Shadow?Someone here obviously hasn't played against an AI that possess the capability to learn. There's a reason why a Fox amiibo come close to winning a tournament.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Still not the same as playing against a human. They can learn, but not make up their own strategies.
They will never be equivalent. It's just not a thing that can happen. They can be hard to play against, but your strategies against them are not the same as what'll work against humans. It's still not the same thing.
Humans have different and unique thinking patterns that cannot be specifically copied by A.I. They can only adjust via what they're programmed to do, and what they learn from observation. But they are far more limited than us, which is why we are harder to face in the long run.
Amiibos do not change this factor because they still have limits. That's why they gain those stat bonuses, to make them on par. Since they're too limited in their capabilities, they gain the stats so they can survive against our superior thought patterns. That's the only thing that specific Amiibo had going for it and it still lost. And for good reasons. Human players are limitless in what they can learn, as long as the game allows for your strategy to work, anyway.
Shadow? Is the online for both 3DS and Wii U better than Brawl's? As in, actually playable?
How active is the online community for 3DS? I still don't have Wii U yet (I might have to convince my mom to get it for me and take it off my Christmas list)
And since I do not have anywhere else to post this:
I have actually thought of doing a web animation series starring Nintendo characters. I don't everything planned, but I'd probably make it Anime-esque. The only character I know for sure that won't make it in will be Peach.
While I'm on this subject, I am wondering why Nintendo doesn't do a whole comic book universe. Separate titles for Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Star Fox, Kid Icarus, Fire Emblem, and possibly F-Zero, Pokemon, and Kirby. Then, do a book that is the Nintendo equivalent to Justice League. Why doesn't Nintendo expand into other medium, unlike SEGA, who can't resist putting Sonic into cartoons and comics.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Then what say you about the computers that have beaten the greatest chess players in the world or any other cerebral game? Computers can think much faster than we are able to, can process much more data simultaneously, can consider every possibly route without missing one, and don't have the disadvantage of human error.
Also, amiibo's do come up with their own strategies. They learn how you fight and figure out ways to counter your fighting style.
Really, I could challenge my sister to Smash Bros and play against her every day for a month under standard tourney rules and it wouldn't do me a damn bit of good. Yeah, in theory, it would help her but I would get more challenge out of a Level 9 CPU.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!
