I'm torn on Yoshi genders myself. On one hand, the Japanese Melee trophy says the species has No Biological Sex, but on the other hand, I'm not sure I like that answer...

Eh. Seemed like a fairly obvious connection to me.
Though one does have to wonder just how well they're getting along.

Meanwhile all other canon details within the series itself are ignored game after game.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyOld manuals for Super Mario Bros 2 (US) said that Birdo was male, but these days Birdo's always getting lovey with Yoshi.
So either Yoshi is male and Birdo is now female, Yoshi is male and Birdo is trans, Yoshi is genderless and Birdo is who knows what, or they're both video game characters and it's not all that important.
In particular I choose Option G.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay(Seriously, why is there no Nintendo of South America?)

This was actually one of the stages I was excited about when I saw it in the video, but I'd forgotten about it until now. How is it?
The idea of For Glory is that it's designed as a super competitive standing. That means skill is meant to the winner. It means while you lost, you still didn't lose by any unreasonable form(or that's the concept anyway).
Of course, I do not believe Final Destination is truly balanced, but eh.

You're not losing anything beyond a pointlessly basic win-loss ratio that only you can see. There isn't much to get pissed over in the first place, sans the daily incident where you're immediately transitioned from a barely trying Luigi to a sugar-hyped ZSS.
I am enjoying the OST to the Wii U version so far. It is making me want to buy the game now.
And yes, like what I did with the first three games, I am downloading the OS Ts for both versions.
Actually, Nintendo has been VERY impressive with its game library since 2010. Like they are actually giving franchises that aren't Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon some love now (Kid Icarus Uprising, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Fire Emblem Awakening, Pikmin 3, and Star Fox Wii U being the best examples), and actually giving us new I Ps (Splatoon)
Also, Nintendo, please add Krystal, Dixie Kong, and Viridi as DLC characters. You're getting better with female reps (Rosalina, Palutena, Lucina, and Wii Fit Trainer, plus can't you make Robin female in SSB 4?), but you could always use more.

AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Yeah, Robin can be female, as can Villager (And inversely, Wii Fit Trainer can be male).
Dixie could work and is probably the most likely candidate for a third DK rep, but Krystal and Viridi are unlikely. Kid Icarus, Sakurai's favorite, is already overrepresented as-is and Viridi is a non-action character; someone like Medusa would be more likely to get in if anyone. And Krystal is hated in Japan. We're more likely to just get Wolf back than ever get her.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I consider Dixie the most likely new DLC character at this point, but who knows. Viridi and Medusa have about the same chance of being the next KI rep, but we're probably not getting another till the next Smash at best, so meh. Krystal isn't happening.
I actually find Smash 4 to be much worse in Mario pandering than in Brawl. 7 characters, and Yoshi is essentially treated as a Mario character now. The 3DS version has 5 Mario stages and only 2 Pokemon and Zelda stages. And in the Wii U version Mario has 6/7 stages. Meanwhile Zelda is exactly the same as in Brawl rep wise aside from Sheik being decopuled from Zelda. And it only has one new stage as well. And Ganondorf still fights like a racer. Though it at least got a bunch of items and Assist Trophies. Pokemon strangely feels underrepped, losing a character when it should be as big or bigger than Mario. And it has a mere 2 stages on the Wii U. The Mewtwo DLC will probably fix it though.

Speaking of Viridi, was anyone else dumbfounded when Viridi mentioned Dark Pit joining the Forces of Nature? Maybe it's a bit more appropriate for a Kid Icarus thread, but it happened in a smash game, so... Exposition and Plot-laying via a different franchise? Only Kid Icarus.
