Today I called a store to ask if they had Smash U available, they did. Since my father works close to the store, I asked him to buy the game and then I'd pay him when he got home. Just two hours ago he called me, but I didn't notice, so after I did, I called him back to see if something happened:
Me: "I knew that would happen!"
Dad: "You did? Well, then you didn't because I have the copy right here."
Me: -stunned silence-
Plus he bought me a Link amiibo, which is extremely convenient because that way I can get the Spinner in Hyrule Warriors, and he chose what amiibo to buy at complete random.
I love my dad. Such a troll.

Is Ganon going to be your main?
A joke you conveniently edited out, yes.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyFrom what I've played of smash Tour, there's more reflex involved than in Mario Party. Since everyone moves at once, you gotta quickly decide which item or checkpoint you want to get to, and decide which item, if any, you want to use for the turn. And you may need to change your plans if an enemy switches up the items or starts gunning for you during the turn.
I have a message from another time...There were no adapters left here either. But I already have a Pro Controller I'm used to so it's not that big of a loss.
In other news, that same store had a Fox and Mario Amiibo. Didn't buy them though. I'm gonna wait for a Ness Amiibo.
And I'll train it to become a psychopatic monster! Ahahahahahaha!
...
Got it out of my system. Carry on.

In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.![]()
You might wanna change the controls; the big shoulder buttons are grab and the little shoulder buttons are shield for some reason. Other than that, it's good.
I've completely abandoned both the Gamecube controller and the default control scheme. Goodbye, Tap Jump.
Set it up in a manner more similar to Beat'em'up games: Y attack, X Special, A grab, B jump.
You are not alone. Not to mention you can't simply replace a piece of equipment for multiple characters. Such as replacing a protection badge with a better protection badge.
Which control scheme have you selected? I'm using the Gamepad with the Z buttons as Shield and LR buttons as Grab, Y as special attack, B as attack, and A as jump. Everything else is untouched.

ASAB: All Sponsors Are Bad.I still like the Gamecube Controller best, though I'm definitely not opposed to the Pro.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerYou're safer fighting at midrange against her than you are against Marth, but close range is more dangerous. Keep that in mind.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerGot all Custom Moves in the 3DS version and just cleared All-Star on Hard with Mega Man (which wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be, considering that I was at a disadvantage due to how I was positioned when playing that mode). Only Challenges I have left to clear are:
- Classic at 9.0 (which can't be hammered, amusingly. I didn't think the 3DS version had that limitation). I'll probably try to do this as Palutena, alternating Mega Man and a couple of other possible mains like Bowser Jr. into the mix, depending on how well I'll do. I should note that I haven't beaten Classic at anything higher than 5.1, so I have no knowledge on how to deal with Master Core's Giant and Beast forms. Tips for them would be appreciated.
- 5 Street Smash passes. I'll probably fulfill this tonight/tomorrow morning while I'm at work dealing with our store's Black Friday sales.
- Obtain all custom outfits, headgear, and special moves. I'd ask for tips on how to finish getting all the hats, but I'm assuming the standard "Home Screen trick during Classic Mode" and "Play Smash Run/Trophy Rush/Target Blast" will suffice.
- Play 50 hours of Smash. Still don't know if I want to do this normally or hammer it, since I know I'll hit 50 hours eventually once I'm done with the Solo mode challenges.
- 20 KOs in Street Smash by Dead Weight KO.
- Collect all Smash Run Powers. I'm assuming the ones I'm missing are from Challenges.
- Get 600+ unique trophies. Don't know if I should hammer this or wait it out. I haven't looked at any of the trophies since I started playing.

How is the Wii U version? I put that on my Christmas list so I haven't played it yet. But after watching Some Call Me Johnny's review of the series, I NEEEEEEEEED IIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!!!!
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!
