Got my copy of Super Smash Bros U as well, but not the bundle. Got the GC controller, but not the addon, yet.

I'm really hoping the adapter will become available again later on.

Well, I guess the more obvious question really ought to be is if a high level Amiibo is more fun or interesting to fight than a vanilla level 9 CPU character. I suppose "yes" is the obvious answer here or they wouldn't bother making this a premium feature, but is it to the extent that you find yourself throwing it into random battles with CP Us more often than not? Is there anything to significantly set it apart from just making a custom version of a character and letting the CPU control it?

From video evidence I can pretty clearly tell you that level 50 Amiibos are ridiculously hard to beat. So by that point they're probably more than worthy training partners.

And since they learn from you, presumably you'll have an AI partner who can kick your butt at your own game.

...Yeah, I kinda want the Samus one now at least. I normally main her and Link, but I'm not much of a fan of the modeling on the Link Amiibo, and I seem to be doing slightly better with Samus online anyway.

It's times like this I wish I had a Wii U, as I wkuld definitely be willing to get Lucario. Hopefully the 3DS adapter I've been hearing about will suffice.

Got a Yoshi Amiibo for my game. At level 44, it was spamming items, using Egg Throw with great accuracy, and kicking my butt even with me using my best character (Toon Link). So one night I did a little experiment. Eight player smash, seven human characters and my Lucky.

Lucky won. Not only that, he was a freaking TANK. I'm definitely getting more of these guys!

So I put my two new Amiibos, Mario and Kirby, into a random 8 man brawl with 99 stock. So far they aren't doing as bad as I thought they would.

Is there any way to set the default controls for every player at once? We're not talking about setting up the controls for one profile; I don't want to have to select a player name every time I play because I feel like the Y button is the B button and the B button is the A button.

I'm going to try to put myself in 8 player brawl with one life and 7 cpus all at level 9 and with 5 stock.

I wonder how long I can survive.

Amiibos, I actually am saving for Christmas. Have to have something on my list.

I think I'll get a Shulk Amiibo first if I can't get a Lucina or Samus.

Outside of my Link amiibo, the rest are planned for Christmas, same with my Wii U version of Smash. I got enough games to tide me over and more 3DS to play anyway.

Maybe I'll get a Shoolk amiibo. My brother already hates Shulk because I've been using him and winning a lot, not to mention he hates his voice.

Well, I just got my Samus (which I rather unimaginatively named Sam tongue). I've only done two quick matches with her so far, but the AI shows marked improvement even during the course of a single match. We shall see how long it takes before I start losing to it.

Also, I should probably go ahead and unlock that Samus racing suit in Mario Kart 8.

I'm still surprised we got the Pooka from Dig Dug as an enemy in Smash Run. I guess it was okay to have them in at least.

No, there isn't a way to change default controls. You'll just have to select your name.

Damn shame. Hope they come out with a patch that allows the modifications of controls game-wide and not simply limited to a profile.

@Mighty Kombat: Many Pac-Man games have thrown in Pookas as enemies. So it's not that surprising since it's a pretty common enemy for Pac-Man these days.

I think it's because the iconic Pac-Man baddies are the ghosts and they're stretched pretty thin already, and Pac-Man World 2 did at least have them hanging around a volcano level, apparently (never played it, yo).

The Bacuras are just mean, though.

I sure said that!
