So, even though it's still launch day, I have every character now. Whelp.
Anyway, I learned the Dark Samus assist can be killed. She got run over by the Shy Guys on Mario Circuit and died. Talk about an anticlimactic fate for a world-destroying menace...
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I kinda cheated and used the one stock match suicide method to speed through some of the battles, but I managed to get all the characters today also. Helps that the method for unlocking the Duck Hunt stage also unlocks the character, so I got them pretty early on and didn't have to slog through 100 matches.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I love the full character select screen though. It's so...rounded. Unlike the 3DS screen with some dumb upside down trapezoid.
But if you look at either screen, you can see that they'd have room for two more fighters to fill the whole space.
Which means Mewtwo and...???
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayCPU sharestock now? That's one change to not really be expected.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. You know, I liked Pichu. Despite his weakness and hurting himself and my never using him.
But in any case, no more Pokemon. There are Pokemon fighters and Pokemon items and Pokemon bosses and Pokemon background extras and Smash does not need any more Pokemon.
Honestly, who could it be...? Someone really popular and really valuable and really non-Ridley.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayIs there a character to easy mode Classic 9 with (well other than Master Core, I can just die there and quit) I'm sick of shelling out 2200 gold just to watch my difficulty get knocked down 7 times before I can get to the fucking second stage because of item bullshit and stage hazards. I mean, if it was just the AI screwing me over because they're too badass or something I'd just stay away, but actually being able to have a decent chance at defeating them only to get bullshitted out is making me want to burn something.
I mean, yes, I can use the bullshit items too, but I'm terrible at handling the things so I rarely ever try to pick them up unless I know they are easy to use (like the beam sword, ore club, boomerang, and hammer.)
Also holy shit what riding the kirby star can kill me?

MMORPGs are serious business.I'm already using equipment actually. It's probably what's giving me a fighting chance against the probably-a-lot-better-than-me A.I.s, but it stops mattering when stage hazards (and some items) enter the picture.
Also is it just me or is it really inconsistent as to whether you can break free of the Galaga thing or not?

MMORPGs are serious business.I was thinking that it mattered on how much damage you had.
At really low percentages it's pretty easy to escape, but at higher percentages it can almost be guaranteed to be a KO.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayIt depends on your damage.
A combination of button mashing and wriggling the pad is the best way to get out of things like that.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. Is there any way to stop the mandatory difficulty difficulty decrease upon continuing in Classic Mode? Maybe at greater gold expense or something?
Also, jeez. How many forms does do the Masters have, anyway? Talk about a gauntlet. Especially since some forms are more SNK Boss than others.

So can no one confirm that the Conquests are the same between versions?
Master Core has 6 forms: Giant, Beast, Edges, Shadow, Fortress, Core. And unless they added something to the Wii U version, there's no way to prevent dropping difficulty when you Game Over during Classic. It's annoying, even back in Kid Icarus Uprising, and I don't know why they didn't just allow the option to pay more gold (or lose more prizes) by just attempting the same difficulty again instead of forcibly dropping it...

You have to clear all six to win Classic Mode, on two lives? Wow.
<maniacal grin> Now that's a challenge!
Too bad Classic is also the basic way of unlocking stuff - the extra difficulty plus the price tag for using the mode gives a bit less incentive for constantly doing it.

When I get the game, my first 8 player smash will have Mario, Kirby, Link, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Samus, Fox, and Pikachu. It'd just feel wrong not to.
