I went with Ruby, since that's what I originally got way back when and what I'll be getting this time around. Plus, the Greninja nerfs likely mean they won't see much use online.
On that note, I was surprised the Green team won the previous Conquest. Blue team seemed to have a lot of fighters I saw a lot of online.
I gotta go with Ruby. Charizard is the only one I'm good with.

Call me butter, because I am on a roll! 3ds friend code: 5258-0885-3903 Wii U: Bowser CharizardThe 3DS version is still great for an on-the-go pick-up-and-play type game, but Wii U is clearly meant to be the definitive version. I can see now why they came out in the order that they did. Nothing against 3DS, but playing it after Wii U would have given me a somewhat unfair underwhelming impression.
Except 3DS has Magicant.
And on a more concrete note, a mode that isn't entirely composed of versus matches.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyI was really hoping for Magicant on Wii U. Now I'm sad.
3DS and Wii U are very comparable, actually, and both have their own perks over the other. I prefer the 3DS version in terms of stage choice and also for it's take on Classic Mode, more unlockable characters, and exclusive Smash Run Mode.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!I agree they did a surprisingly good job of making both versions cohesive yet distinct enough from each other that they're both totally worthwhile. I think I like Smash Run the best of the exclusive modes as well, though saying that is kind of moot since I tend to spend more time in the normal battle modes anyway.
Would there ever be a Smash game that doesn't feel finished...even with all the minor yet very big glitches you can find in them?

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. That could be said for just about all Nintendo games.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyTo some extent, I feel a Smash Bros. game almost by definition can never feel truly, 100% finished by simple virtue of what it is and what it relates to.
I sure said that!I think I'm mostly going to avoid Crazy Hand Orders for the time being, mostly because I don't like unlocking things through failure. I'd prefer it if you lost everything you earned upon losing, but I'm most definitely in the minority for that.
Though most of my defeats in Crazy Hand Orders have been of the "split second defeat snatched from otherwise sure victory," so I'll probably start consistently winning those almost immediately.
Also, Master and Crazy Hand Orders run on the RPG trope of having the main character be the only important one (in stock modes), even in team battles, which is kind of annoying sometimes.

That just seems to be a thing that Sakurai does in his games even at the times where it wouldn't make sense.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. So I'm playing on Wrecking Crew, engaged in a training session with Mayor Pain (Villager amiibo), and I recently summoned Phosphora half way through the match. I use my Lloid Rocket and all of a sudden, I find myself having moved in the opposite direction, to the right side of the field.
That aside I'm trying to get him to Pocket items, but he seems to be more prone to using that Bowling Ball.
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your grief![]()
Peach, Zelda, Sheik, Rosalina, Lucina, F Robin, Palutena, and Wendy. Sheik is sort of a stretch, but she's close enough to count.
Edit: Also got an all animals match with DK, Diddy, Duck Hunt, Fox, Falco, Pikachu, Greninja, and Sonic. Then a magic match with Peach, Rosalina, Zelda, Ganondorf, Palutena, Robin, Lucario, and Ness. Though Ganondorf and Lucario are a bit of a stretch. Well, Dorf does use magic, and Aura is pretty magic-like.

Aura is basically Supernatural Martial Arts so I'd say it qualifies. So is there a way to unlock ROB(Do I still need to do this?) besides dealing with the Crazy Orders or fighting 60 battles? Both would take longer than I'd like.

I'll have to check those menus out when I switch from Smash to Animal Crossing soon. I'm currently using one based on Sonic Boom, mostly because it's free, but partly because I actually enjoy the TV show.
Also, the current contest is "Omega Ruby vs Alpha Sapphire". Charizard and Pikachu are in Team Ruby while Greninja and Lucario head up Team Sapphire. I assume Pikachu's mainly with Charizard because it's the series' mascot, despite not being red.
I thought it was an amusing touch.
Since I brought it up, is the Wii U contest the same?
